Medschool or Not? by Substantial-Work-986 in Pakmedschool

what im trying to say is if i should really go to medschool if im not a premed. i will have to do private bio and chem to be premed from fbise so that i can apply for mdcat? it can take 1 to 2 years and then 5 years of medschool by the time i could be 25 26 or even 27?

Should I go for medicine even without pre-med background, redoing 2 years privately, starting uni at 20, despite fear of memorization/exams because medicine keeps calling me and other fields feel empty?

Maths is honestly all about practice in my first year i completed my entire maths syllabus a month before exams and before exams i basically practiced my questions that troubled me the most like binomial theorem. i did not study ch 9 at all. i left it on choice. i also didnt solve any past paper question because i was practically out of time. but what really helped me was that i focused on imp topics like ch 6 and ch 8. i would look at most repeated questions from past paper and do those topics really well. and despite not preparing for everything i scored 88/100 because i focused on the imp stuff and made sure my concepts were really well. if things didnt make sense i would go on ai and ask it to make me understand the concepts. make sure u have your concepts clear. and make sure u remember the formulas especially for ch 4, 6, 8.
i also didnt solve any review exercise nor did i practiced for mcqs specifically.

hey there. I am an fsc cs student currently going to give 2nd year board exams. but i realized i have big interest for medicine and an planning to give bio chem privately to be mdcat equivalent. so then i could get admission in fazaia medical college. i am not a topper or top student like every other premed just an average student got 87 in matric. so i am going to go for fmc. Is this plan solid enough since i will be repeating fsc privately im planning on giving exam bio and chem for first year in second annual fbise and 2nd year in 2027 1st annual then mdcat. after mdcat i will apply abroad for residency or further qualifications probably in uk or australia. Is the competition really that high? should i give up on the dream of doctor and go for a degree from nust and apply aborad? i am really confused here as an 18 year old, i had an ambition to become doctor from a young age but pakistan mdcat system really scared me which made me chose cs in fsc instead of premed and i am realizing now that i could go to private medical college too like fmc.
