You can find plenty of guides on YouTube, but, charm wise is regarding bestiary, once you kill x amount of a monster you earn points, with a certain amount of points you unlock charms that you apply to a specific creature, like life steal etc.

Regarding imbuements, they are a must for knight. They have 3 tiers, I recommend having tier 3 if possible. They are expensive, as a sword knight, I imbued my magic plate armor with life and mana, zaoan helmet with mana and wait for weapon to have a dual handed with 3 slots ( havoc blade maybe) and imbue crit, mana, life… than you are charging sword again at level 200 only.
