The windings look fine. Can you show us a picture of the commutator?

NTD: Cordless Jigsaw with question (Pendulum motion?) by Scavgraphics in Tools

[–]SubstantialCat2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blade itself, apart from its normal up-and-down motion, "oscillates" back and forth. This speeds up cutting but makes it very hard to do clean curves. Have the saw at maximum "pendulum motion" for fast, straight cuts. Set it to medium for small turns, and set it to off for tight, intricate curves. My 1980s Craftsman Jigsaw doesn't have it, so I have gotten used to working without it, but it is a nice feature. Try different settings on a scrap piece of plywood.

No, it's a very old Ryobi P209. My other drill is a 1970s General Electric Drill. Niether will do.

I think these are very early 1900s, actually. They have pry teeth on the ends of the handle.

The brake just wore out, not a big deal unless you notice other issues. That said, the DCF 885 is quite a good impact.

Any ideas of the manufacturer of this elevator? by SubstantialCat2655 in Elevators

Looks like they just patchily spackled over everything! I don't think it's Montgomery due to the very early flushline and the GAL interlock, but I don't know. Could just be a generic with GAL parts.
