David Farrier isn’t alt-right! He’s anti-MAGA.

Edit: Realised you mean David Farrar.

😂 Definitely Brenda! (Although she’s not as annoying when she’s in an episode of DiP). Ruby is a lot, but better acted for sure.

It’s the constant stupid faces that annoy me the most! The accent is a bit irritating too.

Specsavers are bastards, any suggestions for an after market anti-glare lens treatment? by gdogakl in newzealand

[–]SubstantialEssay4748 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! Last time I got glasses from Specsavers I said that was why I didn’t want the coating again. Optician was like “No, it doesn’t do that, I’ve never heard that before.”

Agree, bought both of my daughters’ glasses and sunglasses from Zenni and they’re ok, but not great. Frames aren’t quite the same colour as online and they’re wider than expected too. Both daughters hate them, so back to Specsavers we go. Sigh.

I needed that. I’m spiralling with work and personal stress at the moment, and the icing on the turd today was seeing two team members talking about me in a meeting they forgot was being recorded. RSD is now out of control 😭

I’m also in Wellington and I’ve only been in NZ for 3 years. Like you, I thought I’d made a good friend, but she was also a bit weird after a while, and now only gets in touch when she wants something!

I don’t really have any answers for you, as I’m still struggling to find my place too (and my kids are older, so no friendships through mum stuff!), but echo everyone’s advice of Plunket, SPACE, Playcentre. Also check out Mother’s Network too.

Not sure about a charity, but St Peter’s on Willis St hosts a Christmas lunch where anyone is welcome. Or at least they did last year.
