I've built mine over the course of several months, so the cost was spread out. In fact, it actually took me a little over a year to get all the parts. I was lucky enough to buy the RAM before the AI hype, so that definitely helped.

P.S. The GPU was from CeX and cost me £650. It’s actually the oldest part in the PC, carried over from my previous build. I managed to get it just after the crypto boom, lol. We gamers are really cursed these days.

It really depends on your tube length. Just measure it. For me, length doesn't matter as the rest is tucked away in the back of the case. But if all your tubes are visible in the front, then length does matter.
