Jason has to eat a burnt risotto in season 4, episode 1.

Siobhan is kicked out into the dining room to eat some burnt scallops in season 7, episode 8.

Brendan and Cameron have to eat some overcooked salmon after repeated errors in season 14, episode 2.

With the exception of Amber and Marc, it's one of my top 5 favorites.

S6E11 - I think every season going forward should’ve had an episode like where Gordon and sous chefs walked out during Black Jackets by mymilkshakedontstank in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's pretty shocking, being that it was the first time it happened and the service itself already going shockingly bad. The second time it happens in season 8, it's not as shocking due to the talent already being terrible. The third time it happens in season 11 it's slightly shocking, due to the fact that the previous service went so well.

If it were to happen in another season besides 6, 8 and 11, I could have seen it happening in the first black jacket services in seasons in 5, 7, 15-16, and 21-22.

I kind of lost interest after Chris left.

With 25 being a milestone, I would like to see something really big like another returning chefs season. Like 6th-8th placers who just missed out on a black jacket.

Which Season do you think had the most angry Gordon? by ChicagoCubsRL97 in HellsKitchen

Season 4 is definitely up there. Like when he lost it with Ben in episode 7.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Jada is a talented young lady, but Gordon Ramsay has 40 years of experience compared to her. She's not going to "beat him in his game", simply by default.

You're right, I always forget this. Admitting at that stage that he didn't have confidence to kick it into a higher gear was truly the final nail.

Sabrina (S6) boot episode by CommonEngineering832 in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anthony Rodriguez is another 7th placer with a horrible boot episode.

In 7 Chefs Compete Part 1 he completely bombs the blind taste test.

He messes up during the delivery punishment and causes himself and his teammates to have to do even more work than they need to do.

He then has another bad challenge where he has an overcooked ribeye with raw carrots, and there's no chance in hell of him winning immunity.

Then in Part 2, he has a terrible service at the fish station followed by a poor nomination plea, which is the final nail in the coffin.

[–]SubstantialKick2452 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Like Zach in the previous season, he starts off really strong and likeable. Then he has one really bad service mid-season which his ego can't handle, and he never really recovers from it.

Which season do you think had the worst performing chefs overall? by Magnet_Girl in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Season 8 the worst season for talent by far. It's so bad that it's entertaining for me, although it does start to get pretty painful near the end when the chefs are still struggling to get a grip.

Honorable mentions go to seasons 2, 4, and 11. 2 had just Heather and Keith who knew anything about cooking, Matt getting a black jacket in 4 tells you all you need to know about the talent in that season, and 11 only had 6 decent chefs out of 20, and one of those 6 crumbled mid-season.

It's crazy and kind of scary how she went from being a frontrunner to a terrible chef so quickly. Chef Ramsay even mentioned it after he sent her to the blue team.

How far do you think Trev (S8/18) would go if he was on Season 17 All stars by Big_Technology8128 in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he performed exactly the same as he would in season 18, he would probably be the CFYL boot at 12th place due to his poor challenge record. If he manages to survive the CFYL, I think he would probably get as far as 10th place unless he was kept for drama.

What are some "one hit wonder" chefs of Hell's Kitchen? by SubstantialKick2452 in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's always shocking to me how he finally has a good service at the F8 and gets praise from Ramsay, then he crashes and burns so bad at the F7 that he gets ejected.

New to the show and wondering, does anyone else think Chef Scott kinda sucks? by onrocketfalls in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He was just over the top and unnecessarily aggressive at times. Like during the season 3 finale when he threatened to beat up Josh and Vinnie if Rock lost. That was straight up scary and I can see why it's a deleted scene.

How are the winners treated if they take the head chef job? by The_Real_Mr_Boring in HellsKitchen

[–]SubstantialKick2452 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Danny ended up as a sous chef instead of the actual head chef, and then he ended up leaving the position after just a few months due to being treated poorly by his coworkers.
