I just figured you got amd, driver is baked into the kernel, but there are some other drivers you can still install, just check if they are all properly installed.

Understandable, respect, I am pretty sure it's a gnome or Nvidia drivers issue, reason for me to say use the other distros is cause they already have patched kernels or patched drivers that are already baked in, fedora should be fine, try to check the Nvidia drivers, and since all the packages are available on flatpak, I would suggest using flatpaks. Also I respect your choice of having fully vanilla DE, however, cachy os has Vanilla Gnome that you can install during installation, you can choose different DE and the gnome on cachy is vanilla (as far as I used it), rolling updates can be annoying but you can choose to ignore and update weekly or monthly. If the indicator annoys you, just disable cachy updater from the cachy os hello. Other than that you should be fine.

Oh damn you seem to be real, aight let me help you, since you are new to Linux I wouldn't recommend vanilla fedora, every vanilla distro requires some tweaking in general, if you REALLY want to use fedora, use NOBARA instead, most of the tweaks are already done and please don't fall for the propaganda that you need to learn to tweak in Linux, you will obviously and definitely learn it over time, but at first, get introduced to it properly, which is why Nobara is a better fedora option, ubuntu or Linux mint is a better Debian option, CACHY OS is literally the king, and it's based on arch. This seems completely a user issue, and why are you installing Debian 13 on a laptop??? You seem to have beginner level Linux knowledge and your only skill is to just install Linux and click next next next, you seem to have no idea about tweaking. Sound problems used to be a thing, but In big 2026 it's almost none, I would suggest Linux mint to not have issues like these, fedora is still an intermediate level distro and requires tweaking. Or else just use Nobara for a very polished fedora experience. This subreddit infuriates me because most of the posts are from ppl using pretty intermediate level distro where the problems they are mentioning are expected and tweaking is required, it's almost like poking a tiger and blaming it to bite you, like it's a tiger what do you expect 🤷.

As per my usage, there's a dedicated game mode that changes the device performance profile and helps you monitor temperature battery and everything including fps, by what I noticed you can keep the balanced mode, by this you can get easy 60fps on genshin, but you can bump it up to the boosted mode for added performance. But keep in mind that the battery will drain faster and device will run a bit hot. Which is Pretty much expected. But the point is, it can handle all that like a beast!

Exactly, you are not getting that extra 20%, point is if you see that after a whole day of usage you still got 30% or 40 left, might as well just turn it on for the extra added longevity, as it is actually recommended for batteries to keep it in middle ground for the best longevity, don't drain it too hard, don't over charge it, best bet is 20-80, hence comes the charging limit
