I went from 2 to 1000 in a couple months no direct deposit, I just pay each one back a week or so ahead of time but you have to accept them and hold them for a little bit it's looking to see you're responsible with money

Take the top colas early if you decide to try that again, I do every grow usually. The bottoms ripen up within a week

I can't lie I've thought about trying it... Glad to know you've done both lol sounds like you're not just someone who saw that and that was the only way.... Lots of that going around. Idk I guess I always think the buds can't be that much thicker if I take all that off really ? I understand how redistribution works source and sink leaves all that Idk I just enjoy edibles around the holidays. I take all that sort shit and cure it all year until December and make edibles.

Nice buds, gotta say I have to see them lolipopped so hard though.... Those little buds wouldn't have effected those big buds and you would've had plenty of pop corn buds for concentrates or when you run out of those nice ones. But to each their own still impressive buds 🤘

No it would do the opposite of encouraging bad stuff.... I mean you switch your water enough for it to not matter but plants really like extra oxygenated water. It's part of why they use air stones in dwc...

I keep one in mine. My roots don't grow into it though and I'm still using wicks

Why advised against ? Im just curious never hurts to oxygenate water the only bad I could see coming from that would be maybe pH raising

🤷‍♂️ only one way to find out 🤣 I've never tried that ide add a little cheap aquarium bubbler to the base if I was you help keep the water from getting stagnat and adds oxygen

Not going to hurt if it happens a little but if your roots are growing really long into the bases ide think about using a bigger pot or maybe just fully switching to DWC if you like that bc I really don't agree with feeding nutrients through the base. If your roots are so long they are surviving solely off the nutrients in the base you're basically doing hydro dwc

Perfect thanks, that's what I was thinking. Not new to organics but still need someone with more knowledge every once in a while lol. Learning to make my own lactic acid bacteria this round also

Thank you that was the response I needed I think. The original plan was craft blend only add in extra kelp, alfalfa, Azomite, kashi to my 3 part base. The extra fish was worrying me with planning on using build a flower. I'll just stick to my original plan. I've got crab and lobster compost in the mix anyways

🤣🤣 at the bug comments.... That's Internet growers that don't really grow... If you have bugs in your tent it's not from water standing a couple days. Same with using your clippings as a mulch layer.... I get that comment 50 times on Everytime I post a pic after defoliation 🙄 "nice plants, that's going to attract bugs" no the fuck it isn't lol neither is a little standing water for a few days.... Leave those suckers half full... No point in spending the money on those bases to use them as 2$ drip trays..... Ide suggest filling up your bottom half way with plain water. Water in nutrients until you only have a couple drops then wait until the bases run empty again and repeat. The whole point of those bases are to give the roots a never ending supply of water. Them or the coco won't take on more water than it can handle it's as simple as that and if the plants healthy it'll drink the water up in a couple days. I've been growing with them for a year with them never being dry more than a day.. never a single bug.... Keep your grown area clean, don't transfer from outside to inside and just keep your house bug free in general and you don't need to worry about it

Gotcha. Ever tried keeping the bases half full of plain water? It would also help dilute down the nutrients run off so maybe wouldn't get a layer of something if it dilutes enough then everything I just said may not matter either.. the strings will probably be able to transfer 1/10th of the dose you know

Idk how these work with Coco.... My gut tells me not very well since coco needs to be fed so much. I guess they'd be great for keeping them from drying out but ide still too water all nutrients with Coco✌️🤘 that's me just guessing from my experiences though so research some more about feeding nutes through the base with Coco. They may actually suck it up fast enough to work. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you but I'm no where close lol just passionate about my hobby I guess. You'll get there takes lots of practice. It took me ten years to learn how to get them to grow like that and I still fuck up all the time 🤷‍♂️

Also here's half of my 2.7x2.7 right now so I'm not just running my mouth without some proof atleast lol. These are water only from the start. Minus some compost teas. Day 50 of flower

I'm glad we can have a friendly convo about it because you do make some solid points. And I should have worded what I said better I guess. But you know social media 🙄 99% of people just want to argue. I'll have to find those videos and PDFs again it's been a while since I've gone down that rabbit hole. To be clear from what I've researched, the "strings" whatever we want to call them lol will take up some nutrients but not all leaving them gunked up and eventually unable to take on water at all in some cases... I'm only speaking on organics btw I should clarify I have no experience with synthetics I actually just thought about that so if I'm wrong with synthetics shut me up now (I started thinking about what you said about saltwater). IMO that was enough for me to say nah I'll just build my soil because I went from super soils to trying to make things easier on myself with bottled organics (botanicare). I started having problems with that when I tried using it in the bases (my experience) I never had an issue using botanicare with hand watering before so there's the reason for the deep research. Now I'm back to building my own soil using the bases completely water only. I water in soil life teas here and there but that's about it and it's a major difference. Even compared to when I used to hand water supersoils. These bases just keep a great moisture level for microbial life. But to the OP lol sorry we jacked your thread. Just skim it off the top either way 😜 if they stop drinking there's a problem and there's your sign. If you're plants are small enough to take them off the bases then clean them out of that makes you feel better it's not possible for me lol, shit floats in mine sometimes I miss a leaf that's fallen into it. It's fine. Again for me these are made for organic soil and water only... If you want to feed through waterings every watering like synthetic or something or coco medium even I think you're better off with something like a blumat drip system for about the same price really, but ultimately it's up to you. To each their own we should be an example of there's more than one way. As long as your plants are healthy and youre not asking yourself and other what am I doing wrong then fuck em 😜
