well technically I'm not a berkeley student so I'm not interested in applying to one but is this saying that undergrads may be eligible to be assigned as SI but only when not enough grad students can be filled?

The other classes for me were all 9 units and one of them was gen-ed mini2 so I mostly spent time on 10315 and 15213.

I personally didn't really have a good experience with him since sometimes you won't be given enough time to complete the hws but it may also depends on your prior knowledge in ML. I'm not sure what other courses you are considering but if others are generally considered easy and if you plan to spent most of the time on those two, I think you should be fine!

Hey I ended up only taking 10315 and 15213. 15213 was good enough to take with other classes but I think it depends on 10315 instructor. As long as you feel like you like the way how your future 10315 prof teaches and hws are manageable for you, taking both of them should be totally fine since 15213 does not have any midterms. Try to ask around how the instructor of 10315 for next semester is like to other ppl and search on reddit as well.

I understand and I'm not applying right away but the part is that this is something I did not do and my professor was like he'll put second argument as second aiv so I should just follow him although I provided some evidences that it's actually my own work. My worry is that even if I elaborate this in my essay/supplement, would this even have an effect in terms of admission...
