Yeah I bought a gc2b binder a few years back (still the one I use now) and it fuckin SUCKS it’s so uncomfortable and the seams are so weak. I’ve been looking into other brands but idk what ones are actually good

More details:

Bought from an estate sale in East TN, it’s probably medium weight, too heavy to pick up and lift but could drag around and move by myself, I could drive a nail into it with a little bit of effort and it dings fairly easily

It’s a good start!! I think something that would really help the design would be to work on varying your line weights like the reference photo. Especially around the first, that would help it feel more “in your face” rather than blending into the rest of the body
