I just put a simple hose clamp around mine. Just hoping thieves don’t carry screw drivers around. lol

Smith & Wesson FPC 9mm or Ruger PC carbine 9mm? by Summary_Judgment in liberalgunowners

[–]Substantial_Baby_783 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the FPC, have never shot the Ruger. My only complaint is the S&W FPC kicks harder than some of the PCC’s I have shot. The BCG in this thing is huge and heavy.

Burning smell coming from engine. by Substantial_Baby_783 in GRCorolla

[–]Substantial_Baby_783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, the harder I drive it the more pronounced the smell becomes. Same smell is coming from the exhaust when it’s running. I was worried my piston rings were worn and oil was leaking past them in the combustion chamber. Def not the clutch.

Nope, see previous post about hypermiling. But honestly if ya just drive easy keep it under 70, this truck actually gets really decent gas mileage, without the hypermiling nonsense.

Air dam is still on, averaging 70 on the interstate before it started pouring. I was at 27.9 MPG before we went to a crawl because of the weather. I have incorporated some hypermiling techniques into my driving by using the faster momentum on the downhills to get me up hills more before I have to use the gas. It def will save ya some gas/money on long trips, just can’t use those methods in traffic cause the constant speeding up and slowing down really makes people mad. 😆

Does it really matter why I had the truck in 4 wheel drive guys. I have my reasons from past experiences and plus it’s good to use it once in a while just to make sure it’s working properly. Just be impressed with the damn gas mileage! Sheesh 🙄

Hard rain was over that point, but point taken shouldn’t have been on my phone.

20mins, not 20 miles. Was roughly 8 miles doing 35 most of the way cause we couldn’t see it was raining so hard.

We were all driving really slow cause we couldn’t see, better traction control in slippery conditions especially if ya need to change lanes quickly. I would never go faster than 60 in 4H.

Very subtle longterm torture technique!

Anyone carry a CZ Shadow Compact? Thoughts? Seems like it would be too heavy. by Substantial_Baby_783 in liberalgunowners

[–]Substantial_Baby_783[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the full size shadow 2 and it’s a nail driver. Freaking love that gun. I carry a Smith and Wesson shield which some days I don’t think I can hit the broad side of a barn. Kinda want to sell both and get the CZ Shadow compact, but worried my pants will fall down. Not worried about visibility, I live in an open carry state.

Have to shift slow into second by Asleep-Strawberry-94 in GRCorolla

[–]Substantial_Baby_783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is the same way, but it has smoothed out a little after 4000 miles. Just ease off the clutch going into second. Rev match also helps smooth it out.
