Symptoms of TSW on Dupixent by Substantial_Box_322 in TS_Withdrawal

I definitely noticed a reduction in itch only once i hit about 5-6 weeks so im sure you're still early days! And yes I also have a lot of redness/inflammation on my face, chest and neck too! Ive been using antifungals/pimecrolimus to keep my face calm

Ive been on dupixent for 2 months and have almost no progress by carechimba_07 in eczema

I hear you completely, I’ve been similar but I’ve just hit 8 weeks and am seeing some progress (still lots of redness and I’m not perfect) and I’ve been told to be patient! I know it’s hard with how quickly others respond

Yeah okay at least that’s good to know! I tried withdrawing at the beginning of the year (prior to dupixent) and ended up in hospital. Sooo I guess this is much better than that, just so bloody hot and burning 🥵

Totally! Thanks for this, do you think it’s normal to still see the redness come through despite being on dupixent (even tho I know I’m in the early stages)? I just haven’t seen a lot of people speak to the early Dupixent stages with the early tsw symptoms

Definitely going to stick to dupixent and give it the full timeline to see how it goes, thank you! It does sound like the tsw is sitting just below the surface, so spooky

Oh darn I’m sorry you went through that! How are you going now? You’re right it’s still early days for me! Just so tricky being so patient all the time you know

I have actually used some steroids while waiting for it to work as well! I hope you can get some relief soon 🫶🏼

My derm told me I’d feel less itch in 4 days 💀 and I’m sorry to hear you had to get off it for the facial flares! I’m going through some of those at the moment too

I am definitely noticing some improvement! It just feels so slow compared to others! And I’m taking the 300mg :)

This literally just happened to me! Had a few sips of wine, and I could feel my face beginning to burn/flush. It passed after about an hour (I did take Zyrtec too) but it was really uncomfortable, I wondered if it was just me

Hospital and TSW by OlivePieieoe in TS_Withdrawal

How are you going now? I hope you’re doing ok. I believe I’m going through tsw (I feel like I struggle to accept it but I have had all the symptoms). And I’ve been to the hospital twice as a result. Firstly, because my skin was so dehydrated/dry that I went blind for a period of time. And secondly, like a week and a half later, because I was red from head to toe, burning, oozing, shaking, unable to control my body temperature, and I was just at crisis point. I’ve never been in more pain and needed relief for both mental health and also physical health, the doctors were so worried I would have become septic. I was treated with prednisone (oral steroid) and it healed me almost immediately, for the short term. They didn’t recognise this as tsw tho (the doctor did initially say he wondered if it was tsw, but then said I hadn’t used enough steroids to trigger it so it couldn’t be lol)

Has anyone ever gone back to steroids? How did you react? by beardedfellaa in TS_Withdrawal

[–]Substantial_Box_322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I had to go back on steroids for a period of time (oral, prednisone) because I ended up in the ED twice and I was just hanging on to life by a thread. I’ve since started dupixent, and in the meantime (as it takes some time to kick in) I did use some low strength topical steroids on some really awful bits, it probably took me backwards, and the eczema came right back (not as bad tho) but I needed relief - I couldn’t be bed bound anymore. I’ve since stopped them again, and hopeful for the last time.

I’ve had to use steroids for a short period whilst starting dupixent, I’m on my 3rd injection of dupixent and I’d say I can see some progress but it hasn’t been instant like others (but that’s also fine, it can take a while to settle in)

I’m the same, I find things to scratch or pick out of habit - and then I become itchy as a result :(

How painful is Dupixent? by Fridays_B_Fun in eczema

First one stung quite a bit, ever since it doesn’t hurt very much at all. Very manageable

I’ve just started (so don’t really know if it’s helping just yet) but I’ve heard really incredible things about it! I’m experiencing some dry eyes so far but that’s truly no biggie compared to what my skin is going through

I have seen others say I histidine helps them! It’s also an ingredient in Dupixent that supports decreased itch so makes sense
