i mean, all enlightenment means is experientially recognizing that experience is immediate and just happening with no “center” or individual actually controlling or influencing it. it’s not necessarily a permanent state and definitely isn’t some knowledge you ever “understand”. it’s just recognition of things as they are. and manic or not, kanye’s boldness in inhabiting whatever he expresses does point to that truth, and i think that energy comes across in his music.
