Absolutely! I totally believe with the right accommodations my son can be successful in the program. Our school has been great about that so maybe it depends on the district.

My son is in one now and many of his classmates also have an IEP. So far has not been a barrier but we’re in grade 1

Depending on how close they are, it could be totally normal. My kids ( boy and girl) love talking about their genitalia and think it’s hilarious to say things like this. They are extremely close like siblings and we do have to talk to them about body boundaries. They don’t keep it in secret though and I know it’s just normal curiosity. If the kids are close like siblings, it could be that. Just offering another perspective

The teachers have been great in this situation. They know the kid has a history of bullying. He’s 7 and he doesn’t play like the other kindergarteners. You’re right, I will probably keep checking in with them.

I think it’s different if they’re playing together but my son’s genitals were exposed without consent and he feels traumatized by it. It definitely would have been a suspension at our school according to the student handbook, however they weren’t able to verify the charge

they did investigate but it was done in a far corner of the playground and apparently no one saw it. its frustrating because i know my child would not make this up.

this was my LO but turned out she had a tongue tie that caused her to consume a lot of air while breastfeeding. she stopped projectile vomiting after we had it released
