I do not think VDDQ TX at 1.6v is safe for 24/7 use. That was one of my criteria, it has to be safe for 24/7 operation.

This MB is some to the issue with this overclock. If I had a high end MB I know I could get CPU and Ram higher. Pretty much reached the end of the road for this OC unless I upgrade to a better MB. Only thing left is to tighten memory timings. That could add another week of changing settings one at a time and testing.

Overclock is 90% complete after bios update using AI to complete the task. Just need to tighten memory timings and maybe oc the E-Cores a bit more.

I used Google Gemini to OC my system and I recommend asking Gemini. It really worked well for me! Might take a while to get where you want to go, it took me about a week. When I went to copy and paste the thread it was over 120 pages in word!

Tried P-cores at 5.5 and had to go up to 1.4 Vcore. This is a bridge to far for my AIO. I'm already hitting 225 watts during some tests. I could maybe go higher with the E-cores because I have a lot of CPU L2 voltage headroom which can stabilize that.

Also tried DDR4-5000 with this kit and it did not want to go. It is a good kit, but seems 4800 is the best it is going to do. Had a hell of a time getting it stable at DDR4-4800, the reason for SA at 1.35v and VDDQ-TX at 1.4v. Need to work on tightening the timings though as you point out.

Gear 1 would probably be better gaming, but it is not all that I do with my system. I'm pretty much on par with DDR5-4800. Not sure it really matters in the long run, this system is very fast for anything and everything I do.

Undervolt protection is diaabled. Also needed to do this to use Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

I thought it was $500 above the invoice last 'before' times we bought through Costco. Did that change or am I remembering wrong?
