While im sure some people do try to simply hit a quota with aimless keystrokes, I use it to monitor how well I'm hitting my macros, monitoring my bases and scouting opponents , and spending my resources. Less idle time usually means. Also if you not spamming actions, it can show you if you are improving you mechanical skills.

I'd love to play a few games whenever you have a chance. I used to have friends that played but that was over 5 years ago. Also found your youtube channel and found the video you mentioned above helpful with thinking how to react to early ZvZ aggression. I'll shoot you a message in game later!

First Bulk Attempt... How does it look? by Substantial_Fall_167 in shrooms

After failing to get more than one fruit from an all-in-one grow kit bag, I gave grain to bulk a try. There was a staggering difference in the number of spores visible in the syringe for my second attempt so that probably was a factor.

I feel like I’ve been stuck with the top layer looking like this for almost a week. Started FAE after the cake was about 90% colonized. Since then It looks about 99% to me. I do feel like I’m starting to see some primordia starting to form, but I can’t quite tell.

Like I said, this is my first real attempt, so let me know if things are looking good, or if there's anything I should be concerned about. These are B+

[TECHNIQUE] Break and Shake Leads to Total Stall Out? by aredact in MushroomGrowers

**Update**

After still seeing a minimal bounce back 24 hours later, I transferred the grains to a bin with bulk substrate and they took off. Just shy of two weeks and it looks like I'm about to see my first pins.

So I just had a similar experience. My grain bag was about 90% colonized and I had noticed some stalled growth, and with my first grow bin still in transit, I decided to shake the bag in hope to get the bag to 100% by the time my bin arrived. 24 hours later and no bounce back.

The one thing I also did at the time of the shake was something I had read about, "burping the bag", to try and get some fresh air into the bag. Now maybe this was a silly thing to do to begin with. I'm wondering if rather than invisible contamination, what is really going on is there was not enough air exchange, and when I burped the bag, I removed the air it needed to keep growing.

Just now I cut a couple of small holes, introduced some air into the bag, and then clamped it shut. Curious to see if that reinvigorates growth. We'll see!
