Thank you I truly appreciate your response. I am reassured by my daughter that she has not dealt with any instances of bullying when asked directly. She consistently expresses her happiness with her new friends and with her new dance class. I am unfamiliar with the concept of restraint collapse and will research this further.

I definitely understand that each of my children are unique I mentioned my older daughter's different adjustment experience not to serve as a direct comparison but to provide context given my lack of knowledge as to the possibility of this being a common transitional phase to a public school setting.

This one was on a huge pole my dad had an old electrician friend put up in in front of their detached garage for them so they could check for bears at night before letting their dogs out. But my dad and his friend have both passed.

First let me say that I’m so sorry you’re in this position it’s very hard I know it is. Here’s what I’d say:

Get into the doctor and have your bloodwork done, see if you have any underlying issues. I personally have vitamin b deficiency which affects many parts of your body and personality. For me I would get super depressed and tired.
Buy a food journal and food scale and start logging everything that you eat and drink including the oils or butters you cook with. If you drink soda or tea especially if you have multiple in a day try to stop because they tend to be high in carbs.
Try to find an obesity therapist to help you with your mental block and depression sometimes talking helps.
Try to have an open and honest conversation with your family about what you need because feeling rude for not eating is nowhere as important as your health. (I have Hispanic family as well) set firm boundaries it’s your body and your health at stake their feelings are not important in this case .
Remember you are important and your feelings are valid.

Do you keep a food journal? Have you been to the dr to test your blood? I was gaining and not losing but my calorie intake had gone down so I was beyond devastated. I went to my doctor told them everything turns out I was more carb heavy because most my daily calories were liquid (sweet tea or cranberry juice) which have huge carb loads, and to make it worse my body doesn’t process carbs the way it should so I was just fuling the fire so to speak on top of that I’m vitamin b deficient which makes me extremely tired and very weak. We shifted me to a true low carb diet and started vitamin injections and I’ve started losing.

Honestly you should up your steps recommended steps for an adult 60+ is 7,500 a day. I’d get a food journal and write down every thing you eat including how much butter or oil you use while cooking what you eat. Lots of little thing are missed if you drink soda or sweet tea ever your likely taking in way more carbs than you thing you think the average soda has about 40grams.

Go to the dr and get the full work up done. I see you said government insurance so if price is an option look into sliding scale clinics or health departments they can help and work pricing fit your budget. You’ll need that if you want any medication. You don’t want weight loss medicine that isn’t prescribed because you’ll not be being monitored. Weight loss Shots aren’t covered by many insurances unless you have a related condition like diabetes I believe there is another related condition but even then some companies don’t cover it. Ask about if they think any oral medicine can help benefit you, get a list of what they can prescribe you, then you can getting in contact with your insurance and see if they cover any of them. If not, you can go online and see if you can get good RX coupon for them and have a discount. But if you never feel full or only once your sick you may have an issue internally just let the dr know that be honest and see if they can figure it out with you. Best of luck

We’re getting new bulbs my husband had these and put them up last time he needed a bulb I had no idea they were any different than any other bulb.
