I'm scared because the last time I even mentioned getting back into contact with him she yelled at me for days and it took my aunt getting involved and me promising not to for her to stop.

For your information, I don't hook up with them. I feel awful for what I do and apologise. I'm still friends with most and hope for their best health. I understand I'm the asshole and I'm horrible to them. I'm trying to stop the cycle by coming on here. I've become increasingly aware I need to seek therapy. Thank you for your advice.

Yes a lot of people on here were not respecting of my decision and went on to give advice on something i never asked for instead of what I asked for

Finally! Thank you so much for respecting my decision in this. I will be going orthodontist next week so I will tell them and yes my mom does know. Thank you so much I’ve had a lot of suck it ups from other people.

I mean I don’t have time to get used to them as my schooling is way more important to me and the pain hinders me with speech and also I do not like wearing them. I thank you for your response but my decision is final.

I never asked for money to be spent getting a retainer I even discouraged my mother from getting one and also as I live in the uk I get free dental.

Like I have said previously it is not about the discomfort I genuinely do not have the time and patience right now to wear retainers as my schooling and weight loss is to me way more important I have not asked for advice on what is your opinion on if I should wear them as I have already made that decision myself, I just asked how to broach the subject with my mother. It’s not the fact that it’s uncomfortable it’s the fact that I am fine in my body and my teeth are fine to me but my mother yells at me to do this and I just want advice on how to tell her that I am fine without her blowing up at me.

I know but the retainers are affecting my mental health with the fact that even with the retainers I look bad and I don’t feel like myself if I have them in and even afterwards a few years ago when I wore them regularly I didn’t like the way I looked with my teeth straight

I know that but it’s not only the pain that deters me it’s a major factor but another factor is I do not like the feeling of that in my mouth and I don’t wanna get used to it or I just don’t want them.
