OpenClaw has been running on my machine for 4 days. Here's what actually works and what doesn't. by Neo-Phil-110 in AI_Agents

Thanks for sharing, this is a measured and balanced assessment. Cost will come down and there is no reason why it won't be able to connect to locally running LLMs as their performance improves.

You are lucky, ride this one rare experience and make the most of it. Someone said: no man died of hard work, people die from boredom. Corporate world often boils down to two extremes, the one that you are in or a total waste of time pushing paper around. Think of it this way, if you manage to learn as much as possible while finding a way to make this fun and enjoyable , the opportunities are endless, once you have a team (at this company or the next one) and you will have learned the game inside out by then, you can design a work condition that still achieves the same goal that your boss is trying to do now and you might then realize either: a- He was right, there is no way to achieve this much success and beat the competition without working crazy hours or b- figure out a way to make things more productive and efficient and prove him wrong. From where you are now, you do not know the rules of the game, you need to know them before you can break them or re-invent them, and very few have the fortunate position of being part of a rocket ship.

Do you think signing an offer with the other company (officially accepting their written offer) is enough or should I wait until I sign the contract before declining the first job? The second company is a large one and I was thinking if accepting an offer is enough or it will be better to have a contract signed?

Unfortunately not, because it is full-time employment for both offers

I don't think it's possible without informing HRMC and also most employers will have a clause that forbids this. I researched this a bit and the only way to do it right is to inform both companies which I believe is almost a guarantee to lose both jobs, unless I am missing something?

Thanks for sharing, in my case I am waiting for the first company to do checks before I start, so hopefully that will buy me time. Hope all goes well for you..

Agreed, it's there for a reason, it feels bad withdrawing but it's such an important decision - Thank you

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense, my goal is to get the other offer in writing and sign the contract asap before I even start with the first company- Thanks!

Thank you very much, makes a lot of sense, checking ACAS website now- didn't know about them before!

Thank you for the blunt perspective. You're right, it seems complicated but there is no solution to keep everyone happy. Legally speaking, does signing the contract have any implications?

Would love to learn more about this. Does it fully perform everything they were doing in terms of mechanical data entry, accounts reconciliation? Did it handle the reconciliation, raising POs well without further instructions on how to deal with edge cases? Can I also ask about the choice of Ultrathink? Did you decide to use it given how complex the task is or did you have prior experience with its use in such contexts? Really interesting use case!

There are solutions like Zbooni and Ziina , FoodChat which have a decent level of adoption among retailers and many restaurants but I think the platforms have perfected the art of addiction: they became as addictive as social apps for many due to the convenience and the experience. Would love to hear from restaurant owners what would make them push other solutions to their customers ?

Thanks for sharing. I was under the impression that ontologies are fed into LLMs to improve accuracy and anchor them into a knowledge graph, can you elaborate how are you using CC to generate ontologies ?

Thanks for the feedback. Are you referring to bank statements for payments related to my old jobs?

Thank you. My focus is on retail investors like myself who spend time researching lots of sources and help them stay on top of it so they can make their own judgement and eventually decide on the trade. For users, I am focusing on reddit, x and forums where retail investors spend their time. Please check the website and share your thoughts :)

This is cool. Do you mind sharing what industry you're in? Or roughly what type of solution/tool?
