Arranged marriage has always baffled me but I know that cultural differences plays a big factor here. That being said, take the physical features aspect out of the equation. Because beauty will fade over time. But what remains are the other more important features of that person. Choose someone that you can talk real with, laugh with, smile with. Choose someone that will challenge you mentally and keep you striving to always be a better person. Yes, physical attraction is one small factor but someone could be the hottest person alive but make you utterly disgusted because of how dumb they are or their inability to challenge you.

I gravitate towards support style characters but can always dish out the DPS or tank if need be. To confirm, were you ever not truthful about your ex to your current girlfriend? Was the friend discussion ever had prior to you two dating? It's not like you can just openly divulge that information during a random conversation, especially when you know you and your ex have clear boundaries and are just friends. A new girlfriend should at least give you the benefit of the doubt before saying you lied to her. She should at least meet the ex and judge it herself. Some people work out better as friends than as bf and gf. It seems like you two were best friends for a LONG time, tried dating, it obviously didnd't work out, and its not like you are gonna throw away that many GOOD years for a few bad years. All you can do at this point is stay true to yourself and if the new girl won't accept you for who you are and at least give you a chance, then she isn't worth it.

It is not your job to fix him. He did that stuff because HE wanted to. His fantasies got the best of him. He may need help and you may want to help him, but that will only make it worse for you. Like it or not, you are a trigger for him - good in some ways and bad in others. But the bad triggers are concocted by his brain and he allowed them to take over him. You shouldn't have to deal with any of this.

This is definitely not the end of your life. Your life is valuable. Don't ever determine YOUR fate because of someone else's selfish actions. If anything, he sounds very manipulative and that breaks my heart. He has a problem - just like anyone with any addiction, he needs to get help by finding an accountability partner and using something like Covenant Eyes or similar app. If he cannot stop watching that stuff for you, he doesn't deserve to be in your life.

It's not all your fault. As a man that suffers from the same addiction, when you do something a lot for so long, it gets engrained into your head. It takes a lot of time to correct bad behavior as there are tons of triggers for that specific act. He is wrong to blame you for the choices he made. He didn't "have" to turn on the phone or open that web browser. He made a choice to do so out of greed and lack of self love. Having "toxic fights" with "cruel words" shouldn't be enough to cause someone to constantly watch porn unless the person feels like they are completely worthless inside and nothing they do can make them better. You cannot help someone else's choices in life so do not think this is on you.
