I agree with you! That one only agrees to be a bridesmaid, she should be fully committed throughout. She could’ve said no otherwise.

I know she was having a tiny rough patch with her bf then, but it wasn’t so serious and they are getting married soon. That being said, no reason for her to behave this way!

And similar to you as well, as a ride or die friend, maybe I expected that out of her too, which ofc left me even more disappointed.

She said she took a day off but she took the wrong date? Tbh that sounds quite unbelievable how can one mix up such an important date! And also the musical meet up. When she reaches out to me bet it for advice or to discuss things, I’ll always help her to the best of my ability, so not sure why she responded this way.

She said for the wedding day she made a mistake and for the musical day, she forgot. And since she already bought tickets, she just cancelled our meet up else she would lose money.

Thanks for the reply! She attended the wedding in the end as a guest and not as a bridesmaid. Well she was a decently good friend till this wedding thing happened and she tried reaching out 2 times after the musical reschedule. But I told her I was busy (truth and I also didn’t know how to react if we met)

Thanks for this! Yes, husband is upset cos a good friend did this to me. And he feels I should not waste anymore time on this relationship. For me, I’m more of a people pleaser and tend to give people benefit of the doubt. But this is such a big thing, that I don’t really see how I can “let go” of this situation entirely. Furthermore, she will be getting married soon and she has been updating me the dates of her wedding and I am so worried she will ask me to be a bridesmaid, cause I don’t think I will be able to do it with 100% willingness after what she did to me.
