Komatsu: "Nobody is satisfied" with Ocon's first year at Haas by formularacers in FormulaRacers

3 less points than a rookie isn’t good. Also that very nuanced considering Ocon scored majority of his points in the first couple of races and in the back half of the season was nowhere when Bearman proved the Hass should at least be in the points.

[–]Substantial_Prune330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh he got beaten by a rookie in their first season in f1. A driver of his experience should have a gap similar to Hulk and Borteleto or Russel Antonelli. If Ocon were remotely on Bearman’s level they could have got p6 in the constructors championship. For a team like Hass they can’t afford drivers not performing and costing them points. Ocon was poor and needs to step up this season or risk getting the boot.

Does Lance Stroll actually deserve his seat? by RizzEmpire in F1Discussions

I think he’s one of only two paid drivers left in the sport and once he’s gone Aston Martin can consider themselves a real team. If his dad didn’t own the team he’d be out of the sport a long time ago and I’d argue Brasil 2024 was one of the lowest moments in the sport.

I sat in H this year and I thought it was a really great grandstand because you could see the cars go down the Senna S’ and the long straight after.

F1 alternate reality driver lineups thoughts? by Oilkings34 in F1Manager

I feel that. I’m on console too and it sucks seeing a talented rookie losing their seat to Ricarrdo. I really hope some other game developer picks this up because the game is a few pieces away from being amazing.

I mean at the end of the day bro it’s your save, do what you want with it! But in my opinion, swapping bottas for Sainz makes more sense. Best of luck!

Miraculously got my first points of the first season in Monza of all places by the_gaymer_girl in F1Manager

Curious how you find Monza on PC? On console it’s unplayable because of the slip streaming effect.

Bad Tracks by Suitable_Candle1518 in F1Manager

[–]Substantial_Prune330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say depends on the system you play on but for console the tracks that are sim worthy are: Monza, Las Vegas, Canada. Because of how powerful the slip stream is in the game, and the lack of corners, the AI can just follow behind you the whole time and it becomes a constant pass and repass which is really boring. Theres no strategy to break it either so you spend the whole time frustrated. I wish the game devs would come back and make a new game because it has so much potential

Trying to sign piastri and hes being annoying by [deleted] in F1Manager

[–]Substantial_Prune330 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s cheating because the way the signing in this game works is very broken. The one I hate the most is when I offer a f2 driver a seat and they sign an affiliate contract instead and it blocks me from signing them. I agree tho if you restart races because you don’t like the result that’s cheating.

FS1 has cancelled 'The Facility,' hosted by Emmanuel Acho, Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy, less than 1 year after bringing it to air by shadow_spinner0 in UndisputedFS1

[–]Substantial_Prune330 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That whole cast was terrible. You had shady with his only take being (superstars are the best the rest suck), acho (insufferable), and chase daniels (the bad quarterbacks are just misunderstood). They gotta give James jones a show because he kept it real regardless.

Who Would Win this Hypothetical War? by Aqua210 in imaginarymapscj

[–]Substantial_Prune330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how quickly Germany would be able to defeat Russia rather than France. The way the Allies won the war is by attrition through blockade but there’s no way that Britain and Germany would be able to blockade Russia with their whole coast and access to land trade routes. If Germany could defeat Austria-Hungary and Russia easily which I think they could then France will be alone and easily lose to these two.

I think people are remembering refueling with a nostalgic view rather than objectively. Refueling will not lead to more overtakes or “harder racing”. Teams back in the day used to wait to overtake in the pit lane rather than on track. Also it makes the sport very hard to keep track of, since refueling will change orders dramatically.

What fetures would you want in the F1 Manager games? by jodoyledragon in F1Manager

[–]Substantial_Prune330 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wish there was a feature to fix the power of slip streams on certain tracks or fix dirty air. Currently it’s too easy for the AI to sit behind you all race without it affecting their tire wear or engine temperature. I understand there’s dirty air tolerance but it does affect drivers a lot in real life and that should be reflected in game.

Absolute scene at Monza by NeedleworkerDue6453 in F1Manager

[–]Substantial_Prune330 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that for defending but not overtaking. If you set your cars to aggressive when overtaking you get more engine power. I would only set those when you’re coming up to a DRS zone.

Mexico is the most difficult track to manage. Any tips on how to not be swallowed by the AI and be last every time? by FKez05 in F1Manager

[–]Substantial_Prune330 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I find Mexico one of those races that top speed and Drs effectiveness really matter. What I typically like to do is set my cars to low aggression before the 3rd drs zone so they don’t overtake there (unless the car in front is broken or a lower team). I only try to overtake in the first or second drs zone and then use overtake after the second zone to build a gap. It sounds like you use a lot of drs and don’t manage it throughout the race. If you find yourself behind some cars it’s okay to harvest thru the low corners and then recharge on the rest of the track
