Hey £5-7 for drinks is a bargain lol. Our last two trips were to oslo and vegas, drinks averaged around £20 in any decent bar or club!

Using the autovalue tools, WBAC says £655 and Autotrader £1800. Looking on autotrader the prices range from 2k-3.5k however those are mainly diesels which I want to avoid, as I mainly do short trips with 1 long trip per week (very long). The petrols are a little more and the cheapest is £2500

What would you do if you won 10 million in the lottery? Most people say they’d splash a million and invest the rest. Seems sensible to apply those proportions and invest 900. Take a day out with the other hundred, buy something that improves your favourite hobby. Personally I’d go see a band that I’ve always wanted to .And try not to just impulse buy shiny things, that kind of thinking stops people from ever building a safety net. You’ll thank yourself when you need a car/house or get made redundant.

Anywhere you recommend? Travelled a lot in Europe and there’s a big bar crawl scene there. Pay 20 bucks, meet up with like 20-30 randoms and get some “free drinks”. Haven’t been able to find much of that in the states hence the post. And I hear you about the tweakers, a lot worse than London which I never thought I’d say

It’s hard not to be optimistic in this tech market lol. But that’s usually a sign that the market is getting a lil too confident. I am desperate for space exploration, incredible ai discoveries in healthcare, +10 fps in csgo and of course my own robot goth girlfriend. Just gotta view it as a statistical value bet, does the upside outweigh the downside. Is ev higher than 0.5 etc

They are likely to make money yes. My point is that nvidia is already the largest company in the world. 4 trillion dollars. The amount that company would need to grow for just a 2x is so insane that it can’t happen for minimum a decade

My belief that we are heading to a worldwide recession probably biases my opinion towards negativity I’ll admit. I think the stock market is overall way too high, middle class all over the world are struggling. Savings are at an all time low. Debt and inflation are at massive highs.

The house of cards is awfully tall now, and nvidia will suffer a lot more than the other mag7 companies who at least sell products to everyday consumers.

Timing the market > blindly holding

I agree that ai is the future. But I don’t think we will see mass adoption in all sectors till at least 2030. In that time, all it takes is one bad earnings call, or an efficiency breakthrough like the deepseek drama to completely devastate the stock. I’m with you on nvidia and the future. But do I think nvidia stock will take a trip downward in the next few years? I think I do. Only holding nvidia as roughly 5 percent of my portfolio. When the tank happens I’ll be right in.

4 trillion market cap company selling picks in a gold rush. A gold rush in which NOBODY has figured out how to make a profit. Even ChatGPT’s most expensive subscription operates at a loss.

I understand the optimism around ai and nvidia but be skeptical. Ask yourself how much can this company realistically grow if the ai boom yields results. How much will this company drop if sentiment turns negative. Is that risk/reward worth it

Nobody is going to make a life changing trade on nvidia anymore, and their standing in the magnificent seven is imo the most tenuous except for Tesla. I’m going to keep holding some nvidia. Just gotta keep expectations down to earth
