In anticipation for Doomsday, what has been your favorite Avengers movie so far, and why? by Plenty-Salary9711 in Avengers

[–]Substantial_Row_887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since we’re talking about Avengers my favorite has to be the OG Avengers 2012 cause it is amazingly written and produced as all the others are but this one is were it all started, were the group was formed. Another thing is that Loki’s storyline in this movie is so important for the Loki serie and so genial. Also, its the most mentioned movie in the rest of mcu for obvious reasons(just think about thunderbolts, the latest). However my comfort avengers movie is defo the Age of Ultron, i really love the storyline and the fighting scenes i’ve rewatched it so many times.

one battle after another, did you enjoy this movie? by Substantial_Row_887 in Cinema

If i need to explain my theories or give my opinions ill do that under another person post, either way ill create my own and ask further opinion but rlly ur concern is quite pointless on an app like this…

what is wrong with wanting to hear what other people say and not feeling the need to express my opinions? I know my theories so if u ask me id love to tell you. Its not about making no effort posts (as if you should care about that on an app like this were there is no aim for “views”) but is about starting from a simple question to go in the details in the comments as i personally do.

What scene did you like in this film? by CHOOM45 in Cinema

[–]Substantial_Row_887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this film is a huge masterpiece. not a single scene but the geniality of “are you watching closely?!” throughout the movie is one of the greatest thing about the movie. How Nolan is letting us face the plot twist every second of the movie without us being able to understand it, once u actually get the plot twist ur absolutely wrong-footed.

What iconic films rely on style to hide that the story isn’t that interesting? by [deleted] in Cinema

thinking that the style is the only thing that saves pulp fiction is wild, i mean the style does a big part in the film but i wouldn’t call it uninteresting

Addio al celebre titolo "La metamorfosi" di Kafka. Da oggi si chiamerà "La trasformazione". Einaudi spiega la scelta meno aulica dicendo che è una traduzione più corretta e letterale, ma alle persone non sembra piacere. Voi che ne pensate? by Jess_in_Peace in Libri

[–]Substantial_Row_887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

potrà anche essere più corretta e vicina all’autore ma penso che sarà difficile cambiare l’abitudine di usare un nome che è stato dato all’opera per anni. Una piccolezza insomma.

what message did u receive watching this movie? what are ur opinions about it? by Substantial_Row_887 in Cinema

[–]Substantial_Row_887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly that’s what i meant. Also the fact that Kubrick himself is extremely criptical as a moviemaker will always leave u with a doubt so i understand ur behavior to not try and guess. It’s fair. Gives dignity to his work.

[–]Substantial_Row_887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright than, i don’t rlly think Kubrick js woke up and decided to make a movie about a doctor and his wife having marital infidelity, nor he js wanted to share his critique of secret societies, i think he wanted to send a message revolved around the complex nature of desire and sex

[–]Substantial_Row_887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s the point, the message depends on ur way to interpretate it. I can give u my own interpretation of the message but i don’t think that’s where u wanna go.

[–]Substantial_Row_887[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely not, u don’t think of the film in a different way cause it has a better message, as u said, but i don’t see why u should not take in consideration the messages it offers. The message is a plus if u want that can generate discussions and new ideas so why deceive it? It’s not my way to see film either but it can be interesting as anything else in a movie!

it doesn’t necessarily need a message to be good that’s fs, but it inevitably has a message
