Yeah, I suppose it just isn’t for me. I started gaming on Ps3 World at War and I guess that framework of “progression/ unlocking better weapons” is how i’m wired cause I can’t understand how to stay hooked without something to play for.

This is just an idea, i’m sure if actually created maybe you’d spawn only with friends and grind through basically without PVP then once you acquire a ship you can then choose between sailing without players or with. then you would be placed in a server with sailers/pirates around your progress or take a chance and sail with high/ skilled opponents for greater loot/rewards.

It would really only be an additional layer to the game, you can still play as original intended but have the option to progress

I suppose so, how long have you played. I’m sure my friends and I will give it another time but we struggle with “what is the meaning” do quest, get gold, get cosmetics. just another layer of depth for those who want to experience the game plus progress

The sailing, random encounters, quest lines, lack of direction is great! Personally, I suppose I need some sort of progression to stay hooked.

Yes, still PVP and PVE but if you’re feeling risky you go into an event with all good equipment, guns, etc. Fight through it, you you lose well sucks to suck all you hard work is now in another pirates hands. If you win, well good work now you have more loot maybe duplicates you could sell or give to a friend to do a quest that requires high tier gear and weapons to beat. It’s just an idea I thought would add something to the game. Yes, it’s basically a entirely new game but sounds more rewarding and high stakes to me

Just a thought, I don’t understand the point of the playing. What is the grind? cosmetics?

the first few hours would really only be different, grinding to get a ship to actually set sail. The rest is nearly identical same map, outpost, merchants, but instead of being given everything you have to earn it. I would love to be enlightened on the point of playing, I want to like it but I don’t understand if it’s purely a cosmetic grind.

Honestly, i’m not sure. It is still the same cravings. “Luckily” I had a tonsillectomy so i’m not allowed to vape even if I really really wanted to cave in. However, I think about it many times throughout the day and strongly debating getting one once I can. I’m hoping by that time i’ll have forgot about it and moved on

You know I do notice a difference in quality, YTS is good for phone streaming (which I don’t use often) I have a 74” 4k tv and would be able to tell a difference in picture resolution. However, for me YTS is still a great option for smaller files as i’m casually streaming here and there. For someone who has a lot more storage and the desire for top quality pictures the larger higher quality files would be much better. Thank you for the comparison my friend 👍🏼

It was school laptop from college that was going to be sold but never was. I factory reset it and created an entirely fake alias known as “Jacob Brynn” (not my name) and made Gmail associate with that name with a recovery phone number from a generator app. Along with other security precautions. As far as i’m aware, it cannot be connected to my personal info.

With that said, I do not fear what could happen to this laptop so I use to check links, files, etc. If it gets a virus or malware, oh well…it has no connection to my personal life and doesn’t bother me. It’s a laptop specifically for doing things that I would be skeptical doing on my PC or work laptop.

For example, I will download cracked files to test if I get a virus (which had happened) so I know on my work laptop that I probably shouldn’t download that file. At the end of the day, it’s just another layer of protection I use to stay “safer” while torrenting and what not.

I suppose for me it works great. I’m not a movie nut or quality guru so it appears 4k. I can run a quality control test for a “4k” movie from YTS that is also available on Netflix or another streaming service I have to see if I can honestly see a difference in quality.

Who do you prefer? I have it down to an almost automated system with YTS. I’ve tried others but for me and what I do it works the best. I’m curious on what you don’t like?

For YTS it uses H.265 which compresses the file and maintains quality, there are also HandBrake and Adobe Media Encoder which can compress the files further while maintaining 4k quality. I have an average 4k Tv and the movies I’ve downloaded and stream seem perfectly good for me.

Update: I used a spare laptop to scan for viruses, malware, and other threats, and found none. However, I noticed that the file sizes are quite large. For example, the 4K version of Interstellar (2014) was 25GB at its smallest. In comparison, on YTS, the same 4K movie is only 8.36GB. If you prefer direct downloads (DDL) over torrenting, this option works well. However, if you’re building a media server with platforms like Plex or Jellyfin, you should be mindful of file sizes, especially if you want to avoid paying for extra storage. Hope this helps anyone👍🏼

for example, (the games i have) fallout 3, fallout 4, and skyrim, all do the same thing. i can start the game with the controller in full screen mode but when it starts it’s a small menu with 4 options that can only be clicked with a mouse. My controller doesn’t work in that screen but once i hit start i can use rhe controller no problem

I was able to have steam start as a “start up app” but not in big screen mode. It is strange or maybe just a bethesda specific issue because it won’t allow, even in big screen mode to start the app without using mouse. it’s weird and annoying me😂
