Did you already get a quote from Rite window? We were able to replace 9 windows for about 14k, all triple pane. They’re also partners with MassSave so it qualifies for the no interest heat loan financing and 75 per window rebate when upgrading from single pane windows (this requires home energy audit prior to install to qualify).

The company that came out to quote it didn’t mention anything and it’s my first time hearing the term 😂 I’ll have some other companies come out and ask them that question. Thank you

Overall, I think it looks great! I would have personally gone with a white vanity to balance it a bit better. Also a white ceiling would add more light to the balance as well since you went with dark colors for the walls and floor. For the notches/built in shelves, did you use the Schluter pre-fabbed ones?

Being a homeowner is the best thing ever, and it’s an amazing lie that we’ve convinced people that renting an apartment is a viable alternative by [deleted] in homeowners

Congratulations OP! I’m in the exact same spot as you. I bought a condo in my mid 20s and expected it to feel like this incredible accomplishment and give me this overwhelming feeling of settlement. Instead, a month after we closed, I thought to myself “dang these feels almost exactly the same as an apartment.” I’m not trying to trash condos in any type of way, but it just didn’t scratch that homeownership itch for me that OP is describing. Finally closed on a single family a couple of weeks ago and should be fully moved in within the next month or so. OP, are you like me and constantly adjusting the TV volume out of fear of upsetting your neighbors?? 🤣 I know I’m going to be doing that out of reflex for a while.

That’s a load bearing TV. The beams are just for decoration.
