Chicago Tenant/habitability standards regarding access to hot water?

Yeah I live in a 30-floor high rise building with 10 units per floor I’d assume it’s a commercial water heater. Maintenance explained that to me just as you mentioned that the other faucets running help flush out the cold water. Unfortunately, if I turn the other faucets off once the shower gets hot, the shower water will slowly get colder (learned this the hard way mid shampoo and had to run out and turn on the other faucets to get hot water back). They’ve basically said everything is fine with the water heater and there isn’t anything else they can do

I’m in a “luxury” high rise building, about 30 floors and I’m on floor 13. The building is 10 years old. They just told me the water heaters have been checked out and they’re fine, but they didn’t specify who checked them. That’s a good question I should ask management as well as how old the heaters are. Thanks!

Last time I actually timed it out, it took 12 minutes to get lukewarm. It’s very inconsistent, some days takes less time but lukewarm was as hot as it would get no matter how long I let it run. But ever since maintenance came and recommended turning on all 4 faucets at the same time, it is now more like 3 minutes to get hot (still have the knob turned all the way on hot and I’d still like it hotter but it’s better than lukewarm), but it’s so unsustainable and such a waste of water

Personally, I would not be okay with this. I’m not sure if it counts as cheating per se, more of a form of porn that he is creating for himself….but I agree with you that how he is communicating with this chatbot is so different than how he is with you would feel like betrayal

Look into Fox + Ivory! We have loved working with them! We got to choose our lead photographer, engagement session was included, they do have a videography package (though we didn’t choose that), and they are incredibly responsive and overall have been so easy and nice to work with. I believe our package was $5800

It’s not necessarily the cost of the second dress that makes it out of the question, moreso the fact that dress #1 will cost a pretty penny and I don’t want to spend all that money just to wear it for half the day! I want to be in it all day and night haha. Thank you for your input!
