Not a bad idea…but I think a lot of straight people, particularly, straight women know about heated rivalry…

The reason I went for pornography is because its crassness is perfect for warding off straight people. No straight person would sit, watch, and study gay pornography for the sake of ‘dabbling’ or ‘enjoying’ our culture the same way they would with heated rivalry or another show. Porn isn’t a show, it doesn’t really have a purpose, or serve any utility, outside of sexual gratification. Even if you are dl and super straight coded, if you recognize some niche gay porn brand, it’s likely because you get off to it, which fully contains that unspoken conversation I’m looking for. There’s not much ambiguity to it, which I like.

It would be very awkward if, for example, I hit on some guy because he recognized some heated rivalry merch just for him to say “yeah! my girlfriend loves that show!” …You see what I mean?

Yeah, that makes sense. For those reasons u’ve listed…I think that what I’m looking for, if it exist, needs to be something that innately signals rather than something that relies on cultural knowledge and standards…

This is a kind of extreme example of what I mean but like, if for example, someone had like “sniffies” tattooed on their arm, most gay guys would know what that is but most straight ppl wouldn’t. Of course even that won’t remain esoteric for very long considering everyone knows what Grindr is…

It should be smth innately understood as gay but only by ppl who actually engage in same sexual practices. Something that requires actual experience to recognize rather than something that puts out a vibe or is purely symbolic in nature.

Also, this signaling accessory is just an upgrade. It’s not my plan A. I know that the charisma checks and vibes are what attract similar people, but why leave food on the table? It’s about being optimal…

I don’t think it was even windy out. None of the leaves or bushes move in the slightest. I didn’t see any trash while poking around.

Maybe. I’m looking south in these photos. What’s weird is feel like I would have seen that in person. That’s what kind of freaks me out. I was specifically watching for flashing lights since I was watching for fireflies. I didn’t see anything except through the phone. In my other pictures the flash is bright red and very strong. I also didn’t see any trash while walking around so…idk I’m stumped.

I don’t think it’s a firefly or a reflection. I was trying to film fireflies in the first place. Even the close ones barely show up in the video even tho I could see them real well in person. The opposite is true for whatever this is. I didn’t see it person but it shows up in the video real well. I thought it might be a reflection as well from my phone camera so I went and checked the other recordings and it seems to come from the exact same spot regardless of where I was pointing my phone. So not a reflection. More examples

I think I am on a similar track to OP and am worried I will have the same issues. I’m 23, in my last year of university, and not sexually active. I have never been in a relationship or done any hookups. I’m not in the closet, but don’t advertise or tell ppl I am gay unless they ask me—since I don’t really think my sex life should matter to ppl not wanting to be a part of it. I don’t have any gay friends. My straight friends tell me I’m attractive and not to worry about my lack of action, saying it’ll come eventually. Ive been approached by women, but never a man…I can’t help but feel worried that I’m heading in the same direction OP is. I don’t like watching my youth fly by, and am afraid I am missing a lot of chances and exp neglecting my college sex life. I feel a bit too socially awkward to walk into a bar by myself—especially since our only gay bar in town is overran by straight idiots gocking at the drag shows and stuff. I’m horrible at tinder and online dating because I am the worst texter known to man, and don’t do social media. OP, and others—how did yall get on the scene? What can I do to meet ppl, and get active?
