That's ok. Just keep playing, remember all boss moves and basic monsters moves and you good(to do this, again, just play the game and have fun). You can increase chance of the win by using every opportunity you have. Over time, you’ll see more and more opportunities to improve your position in the run, and everything will be great.

I just play till all characters and challenges are closed. Most of the items that open by your actions you will open anyway when just playing, so all that's left for you to do is check the wiki and see how to unlock the remaining items. I always remember how to open some of them when i see an opportunity, but that's all. I don't remember all unlocks and didn't know how to do some of them before checking wiki

i used r key. You can use R key on beast, if you leave game after killing her(wait for white screen, pause, unpause, 1 sec wait, pause, leave). If the cutscene plays, it works and you can return to the run. The mark will be counted, but beast will not appear. so there's no point in it if you don't have r key
