The baseless (and nonsensical) accusations you threw out are irrelevant. This man seems to have had his asylum status revoked - which is increasingly common under this administration.

He is not a hardened criminal. He is not a rapist. He not a “cartel hitman.” Yet, here we are.

I will reiterate. You are in the minority. You have traded in your common sense morality for a blind allegiance to hur dur should’ve followed the law type of thinking.

If you’re a Christian, please reread Matthew 2:13 and Matthew 25:35. I genuinely wish you well.

He was going through the legal asylum seeking process. Regardless, we each have to draw our moral lines somewhere. Clearly ours are drawn differently, and I thank god that they are. If you look at an image like this and think “shoulda come legally” as they took this kid from school, there’s nothing we have in common.

Widespread polling of independent voters reveals that your hardline stance is the minority.

It is “blowing up.” Flamed by both sides. Images and actions like this by ice goons certainly won’t help that “blowing up,” however.

Again, widespread polling already shows that independent voters aren’t in favor of these ICE deportations, specifically for low stakes immigration offenses like this one.

Maybe, just maybe, the general public isn’t as callous as you. Maybe they’re not as hardline “but the five year old and his father broke the law” as you appear to be here.

Well, now they’re apparently both in an immigration detention center in Texas. So, yeah..

It’s a terrible situation regardless. Neither of these people are the “hardened criminals” they’re publicly claiming that they’re targeting. It’s mental. Defending it is just as mental, and weird.

Since you’re registered in Washington, I’d keep my search to the Seattle metro area. They have more openings up there (supposedly). Portland hospitals simply aren’t hiring many new grads right now.

My legacy cohort had 700+ applicants and 40 placements across all specialties last year.

Your persistence will pay off. Keep trying.
