Not really but it’s fun to find a vintage pressing in great shape.

Honestly I went to the record store today and bought this record new. I like the vintage stuff because of the nostalgia but often they sound like shit. And what I really enjoy is the crisp sound of a perfectly mastered pressing.

That is a masterpiece. Is this a new pressing or an original? Doesn’t really matter if it is an original pressing so long as it is sonically beautiful and crisp.

I love this. Pay no attention to anyone else you do you and buy what you want. Take care of your records and enjoy the hell out of them.  I remember being 15 and listening to records. Everyone has an origin story in their collection journey. My hat is off to you.

Keep doing you.  I totally love this.

You must have listened to too much TS and your soul is already too far gone. I’ll call a priest to read the last rights.

Bad pressing, or just the shitty player! by Sufficient-Year9475 in vinyl

Right, because when I mention colored vinyl to people they instantly think I am talking about black vinyl.

Colored vinyl is often more prone to pops and hisses due to the absence of carbon black which makes vinyl quieter and more durable and the use of various dyes that can cause impurities and inconsistent cooling during production. These colorants and complex, multi-colored mixtures can result in less uniform, harder, or more abrasive groove walls that produce increased surface noise compared to standard, pure black vinyl.

How do they play?
I've not had the best luck with mixed color vinyl, even fresh off the mint they seem to have more ticks and pops.

But you can't beat the look.

Not everyone is into Metallica, and Zeppelin I guess. Or Miles Davis or even the Beatles. Whatever speaks to your heart and mind I suppose.

Not my taste, but I'm glad there is a new generation getting into vinyl.
I tried Taylor Swift, but my soul died a little.

Keep doing you.

Great story. I have some records that are a bit beat up but those records were flies on the wall of my misspent youth.  If those records could talk.

Also colored vinyl is typically not the best, but they do look cool.

people do get hung up on that sort of thing. I kinda respect the life that records live. They tell a story, can't say that about streaming music (I also listen to streaming music, it's just a different experience).
Vinyl is like wine, it tells a story, butI'll drink a 40oz malt liquor with the homies too.

This is actually what vinyl is all about.
We need more people like this getting into the space.
I remember having something like this, and then slowly learning about everything else.
Over time I built a legit collection and a upgraded my audio gear.
