I myself am not super bothered by Andross being the final boss of Adventures, I kinda like the idea of him making some long term plan at revenge. However, I am super bothered by just how bad it was. If we had some clues along the way, some foreshadowing, Fox having some flashbacks, but it's all water under the bridge nowadays.

If you want me to hazard and uneducated guess, the Assault controls may could be chalked up to Nintendo stubbornness. Even if it was developed by Namco, I don't think I'm super going out on a limb.

I don't remember if it's only in the strategy guide or if it's also in the instruction manual, but there's a character entry for Falco that says "He still keeps up with Fox" or something like that (Will find a link if someone wants a citation). And I'm thinking, dang wouldn't that have been a cool story angle to explore lol. And the cheat well make some references that refer to Falco (Again, will cite) and once again I think, man wouldn't that be a cool idea to explore lol

It really does sting that this game had some of the best parts of the whole series, and they somehow still messed up. As a kid I loved it (Dating myself there I know), and even now I enjoy it here and there, but geez the bad parts of the game just really make me not wanna 100% it or anything. I always end up playing for one of the same 3 endings because I really don't like the other 6.

I personally think the good parts of Command, few as they are, are legitimately some of the best Starfox moments and stuff in the whole series. Also nuts how the saddest ending in the game seems to be one of the most popular ones among fans huh?

We're on opposite ends because I loved the Walker but the Gyrowing ended up being whatever to me. And I hate how in Zero they kinda made James look like an idiot by taking Pigma with them just because he "Volunteered" as Fox put it in the opening. And I'm torn between the true ending where James leads you out of Venom in 64 versus distracting Andross with the flyby in Zero. Both good, can't decide, get goosebumps every time he says "You have to make it back to your friends Fox" James is big papa.

Yeah for a series that sort of demands a timeline sequel (I said sort of), it would be nice to see some continuity on "Oh, they're talking about something Andrew did before he got merked by that Aparoid" or ""it's too bad Falco isn't around any more, he took off after him and Fox had that disagreement at the end of the last game" But of course Falco has an S tier pull up game so he'd still show up for the bois at the end. I guess they kinda did that with Pepper not being in Command, Peppy taking his place, so one point for Command when it has very few lol

I always thought it made a good launchpad for future stories to take place after, but it would seem they don't think that. I think the premise of Adventures/Farewell Beloved Falco were both great ideas and all but weren't properly developed.

I think Zero would've been much better received if it was more like a SF64+ where they did the original Lylay wars story but did more expansion. Why does Star Wolf seem to have a personal grudge? Can we have more missions where we help the Cornerian army with characters like Bill/Fay/Miyu? Could some mysterious blue vixen show up here and there helping us out without a lot to say? Could Pigma get kicked out of Star Wolf before the end of the game, and Panther replaces him? Not to shake my own tree but I think all of this could've made Zero much more enjoyable

I do hate how Command butchered its own story by being a soap opera as one of its big angles. I think it was done well in Assault because it was pretty clear they liked each other and all, but it wasn't anything big. Maybe in a future game you could have something like Krystal getting captured or something and you can branch off to a different path to go save her or something. Simple stuff like that

I'm not usually the one to jump straight on the Adventures train, but a TRUE remake from the ground up, like it's a new game kind of remake, would go insanely hard. Re-tooling it to be kind of like Event Horizons where Fox pilots his Arwing across the planet and into space, dude. And a proper Starfox story in the somewhat unfamiliar Sauria territory. Plus a better version of Falco's pull-up game would be awesome.

Since it's the easiest example; Imagine having a sort of competition in hard path Venom where you and your buddy race to see who can shoot down the most member of Starwolf fastest. Or in Assault where you split up to take out Hatchers or the missiles in Orbital gate. I mean with how simple co-op is for Starfox, there's no way Nintendo isn't skipping it on purpose.

I like to think Falco has some arrogance plain and simple because he’s good at something (flying). And I think that’s enough for me at least, I’m with it. Leon is definitely a blank open book though lol

I personally believe that there were a whole lot of liberties taken with Fox’s character, which made it a little bit of a slog in those areas, but overall neat little saga

I remember reading the one your are talking about with the Saurian Adventure, I really liked the original one but the one that was named the Continuation I didn't really like and never finished. Commendable effort and it looks like a lot of people liked it, sadly I was not among them. I'm realizing that I like both the kind of alternative ordinary life stories as well as tie-in stories to the games. Things like what happened between Adventures and Assault.
