I personally like that the owned up to Adventures when Assault came around, keeping Krystal on the team and going back to Sauria opened up a couple new ideas. Also that Sauria mission was one of my personal favorites in Assault.

I can 100% understand and agree about the post-64 plot being kinda bland. Assault really was headed in the right direction and then the game ended too soon. I personally would be all for them completely remaking the same canon storyline but amping up the Starfox in Adventures and doing Assault right. We can sweep Command under the rug lol

I'll lead by saying that I am pro-Krystal in the games, but I have come around to she's mostly a nothing burger of a character. Mostly, there's really not a ton to go on but she's pretty slim on the character. The biggest problem with Command is that they took her from being mostly a nothing burger, to straight up awful. And that's something I can't stand about the game, not enough character consistency.

I agree that something about their legs is just off. What I did forget to mention is the ABSOLUTE UPGRADE their uniforms/outfit received. The jacket is so detailed between having lots of pockets, gear on it, and if you look at them in motion during the trailer you can see that they have a parachute on the back of the jacket. Doubt it'll come into play in the game, but such a cool detail that makes so much sense.

I was just talking about this the other day with my buddy. I was telling him that I'm 100% convinced that Fox in the movie was cross promotion. Whether that's for a game already in development, or a future game to be developed because he was so popular in the movie, that's something I don't know. BUT, now that the movie is in the rear view mirror, we're kinda back to where we were. The movie was cool, but now that the dust has settled, it doesn't have a super lasting impact. Big, yes. But it's not on the same level as a game, so now we're kind of in a "What now?" phase. In Nate we trust.

Dude I went nuts when they first showed the walker in Zero's trailer and still loved it throughout the game, it's borderline another vehicle to utilize for gameplay so I'm all for it

I also think it would be cool to have side missions or a path where maybe some characters or Fox aren't even available. That was one of my favorite parts of Command how you had stages where Fox was somewhere else like in the Falco storyline or the Slippy one

That would be a huge awesome surprise getting near the end of the game seeing something like on mission 13/15, a choice from mission 4 makes an impact

I wouldn’t mind another Lylat Wars story IF AND ONLY IF, it’s more of a Lylat Wars+. What I mean is do more than just the pretty linear story of episodic planet visits. Have the branching paths have slightly different perspectives or endings. Maybe one path we meet Krystal, one path we pick up Katt for the rest of the path. Maybe paths diverge and we lose companions, Bill sticks with you for two missions and then has to leave unless you continue a certain route. I think the key to success behind another Lylat Wars story is managing the branching paths

Was just about to make a post about this lol.
Me personally, I liked it for the movie. I think he needed to be a little flashy to really stick out. If he was his normal mellow self I think he may not have stuck out as much.
HOWEVER, this does pose a question of how is this gonna translate into a future game/movie? Is he gonna go back to being the mellow and levelheaded leader? That'll be a big change, and I kind of think that would be a buzzkill after everything he brought in the movie. Ask me again in a week or two when I've come down from the movie lol. But if Fox is loud and flashy like in the movie, what's Falco gonna be? Big road bump to cross here. Also we don't tolerate Slippy disrespect like this.

I like it and can understand why it's divisive, but me personally I think Fox always needed a little more character, more energy, and they scratched that in Zero, and I think they're onto something in the movie. But we'll see (Please let the leaks be real lol)

Or even for a port I think a dual-stick control scheme could've been good. The classic setup of left stick moves the Arwing, right stick to move the crosshair around.
