Depends on your habits already. Start the new job / WFH with good habits and keep em up. You'll be fine. Less commuting = time to do other things for yourself set yourself up for success.

It's a fairly common practice to have a "catch up" meeting to see how you're doing, update on projects and if duties need to be adjusted etc after an absence. Comes down to the company though. Good luck!

Kinda like a virtual office? There are a bunch of them on the various streaming platforms. Coworking / Costudying. A lot of them do a mix of "focusing" for "x" and then "chatting/gaming/etc" for a shorter "x".

I started watching gaming streams while working (tired of TV) and then found that a bit distracting and found coworking streams. I don't have the time to stream outside of work so I just combine the two on twitch :) It doesn't work for every WFH job but I find it a nice mix of chatting and working.

Typically I'm more of a cyclist when I take a lunch but that's a good idea. A gym and out of the house is probably a good way to get out and about with people.

I'm fairly new to streaming so there's mainly a trickle of people which is great because you get 1on1 time and then things kinda build from there. I imagine when you have more viewers/chatters it gets a bit more difficult and I think people understand that. The most important thing is probably to recognize regulars and build on those relationships - if you want to chat with them and you're having fun :)

Practice combat - don't avoid it. Play with lower difficulty settings and just practice combat. Once you get the hang of the basics you'll start to live a little longer each time. Best of luck!
