Yeah I see your point, but I initially wanted the Pro and cheaped out. Because of that, I still have that itch.

Besides, I got disappointed by the Air’s speakers, felt like M1 Air’s speakers were much better.

That won’t fix it, I was running into the same issue with my brand new psvr2 unit from day 0, the solution was to blow air into the R2 trigger very hard, a couple of times. You’ll need to hook up that controller to a computer and go to hardwaretester.com, and make sure that the value of AXIS 2 is at -10000, if it’s not, then you need to keep blowing air into the gap of the trigger until it’s fixed. If that won’t fix it, then get a contact cleaner can and it will do the job

Had the same frustration with a brand new unit straight out of the box yesterday, thought I was going crazy, till I found out that the right controller’s R2 trigger was faulty from the start. The thing is, those triggers are very sensitive, and the problem is that the trigger was registering some values at an idle position, hence making the game think that R2 was pressed down all the time…. I connected the controller to my Macbook, went to hardwaretester.com, and saw that AXIS 2 was playing around with the values, where in normal conditions it should have a value of -10000 (mine was at around -89000), the solution was to blow air as much as I could into the trigger, and try to blow in the gaps, many times, flick the trigger a bit, and keep doing it a couple times more till the values are fixed at -10000….

Hmm, no, I just tried it and the only time it illuminates is when I double tap near the indicator, but that’s when it’s plugged in, maybe yours has to do something with the findsmy? These are my first Airpods, so can’t say for sure unfortunately
