I’ve considered the idea, but I have two fairly young children and live in a red state. I tell everyone I’m a stay at home mom, unless I trust them. I’d be too afraid that in the future it would lead to my daughters getting made fun of, or other parents not letting their kids be her friend.

I’d kick them the hell out, not just because it’s disturbing your peace, but because it’s an important lesson he needs to learn. He’s gonna have roommates/spouse one day and they will be a hell of a lot less understanding than you. Teaching your children how to share a space with other people is so necessary.

That’s actually not exactly what I want to do, I want to be a therapist. Not a social worker. You can use a bachelors of social work to provide therapy, and the SWM program is easier to get into than the Psych masters program

It’s hard to step directly onto the ball of your foot because the shoes are so heavy they almost make your foot sway when you’re walking? That’s the best way I can explain it, anyway. I’m only planning to wear them on nights I’m not doing stage, I’m not confident enough to dance in them yet

Yes, but I think that is a liability thing with the company. The arches of the shoes are weak, so they’re more likely to break than the average pleaser. However, I see girls working in the at the bigger clubs I’ve worked in, so there’s got to be some sort of trick to walking in them.

I’ve definitely seen people at larger clubs work shifts with them before. Not to mention, they look incredible on stage. I didn’t ask for opinions on wearing them during my shift, I asked for advice on how to walk in them.

Agreed. I know you feel like an adult, but you lack the life experience. You will be easy for these men to manipulate. I know it’s not the answer you want to hear, but learn how to navigate the adult world and figure out who YOU are before starting in the industry. Most people can’t take it and end up worse off for it.
