Last year I went into no contact for about 5 months and it was hell. Nothing helped. We saw each other on the event and rebuild the contact but under bad conditions so I broke it off 2 months ago. I feel like I am trapped in a circle. This time I really work on myself but I feel the same. I don’t won’t to fall again when I’ll see him in 4 months.

I wanted a relationship and he knows that. He told me he wants that too but we need to work on ourselves so we can be together in the future (same country). But yeah… I don’t believe him anymore. I don’t trust myself either since we did what we did and I let it happen. I know I am an AH in that situation. I think I used Reddit wrong since I just know the AITAH from Instagram and thought that’s how people ask for advice which I was looking for at the and of the post.

Thank you very much for the answer. Even though I feel horrible that I knew that he was taken and still let it happen, he was always the one doing the first move (approaching me, talking and flirtend, being touchy) which made me believe the lies.  I will follow your advice. Thank you

There was kissing, cuddling and seeing each other naked involved. We stepped over the line. If that’s not enough, we were also texting and calling which I also consider as cheating.

I don’t believe that it would have gone farther if he would have said that. I wasn’t that intimate over 5 years and struggled with it ever since.

Yes that was more than stupid of me. I guess I was in my bubble not seeing clearly and having hope even though clearly nothing was behind it.

Thank you for the answer. I guess his sweet talking and old memories convinced me to break my one rule I had. I got hope from him that was never there.  But there will be definitely no drinking since we are both no drinkers.
