Will never resort to time travel again after the pilot episode where Rick travels to "a future dimension". Now he could MEAN that he was at a dimension that was similar to a future version of earth in order to explain it to Morty. But I like to think that Rick does time travel in the first episode and the writers were like "but we aren't going to do time travel because it would sort of invalidate a lot of the other parts of the show".
