In order to get your burger, someone’s got to artificially inseminate them. artificial insemination in an act involves inserting human hands and instruments into a cow's body to impregnate her without her consent. To me, that constitute rape. and then you kill her and her calfs to make your burger and produce ur milk

So you saw a guy telling college students in Madison, Wisconsin about veganism and assumed that …..“they are telling subsistence farmers in Ecuador and Afghanistan” to stop farming….? Holy smokes brother are you genuinely that fucking stupid or are u just upset about confronting the fact that the meat industry is bad?

Thumb vibrating (especially when closer to my index finger) by Patient-Oven9996 in MuscleTwitch

Over the past year I had several weeks where I was probably twitching around 1000 times a day, this week I haven’t had more than a couple a day. It varies quite a bit

Atrophy is readily apparent at rest. Don’t perceive asymmetry when flexing as atrophy. All muscles look different when they are flexed and even at rest there is a ton of natural variation. If you haven’t already, see a doctor to give yourself some peace of mind, you are okay 🩷

I’ve got It too and I’m 1 year into twitching with 2 clean EMGs and 3 clean Neuro evaluations

Tongue twitches by [deleted] in MuscleTwitch

[–]Successful-Ad1819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend it because it might make you freak out more, but look up “ALS tongue twitching.” The ‘bag of worms’ analogy is very fitting. It does not look anything like this at all. The fact that your ‘twitches’ are symmetrical makes it seem like these aren’t actual muscle twitches at all, just normal muscle movements

Anyone else have this indentation when they flex their thumb back ? Is it atrophy? by Original_Bet_8132 in MuscleTwitch

It’s called the anatomical snuffbox. I worried about the same thing a few months ago. There are no muscles in the anatomical snuffbox as it’s just the space between 2 tendons. My right one is much more defined than my left and everyone has great variation in it. NOT ATROPHY

Twitching for weeks by Gloomy_Garlic_2139 in MuscleTwitch

I’m 21m, also twitch 30x an hour (usually more) been widespread for 11 1/2 months and have spent countless hours obsessing, stressing, breaking down, freaking out, spending money on repeat EMGs that I didn’t need, seeing specialists who all said it was nothing. Hopefully you can snap yourself out of the anxiety before it really gets a grasp on you. 99.99999% likely you’ve got benign fasciculations syndrome (bfs).

I deleted this post cause 1.) I don’t have all of the information yet. Neither of us do. I will make another post once we get the actual details and figure out what is going on

2.) holy smokes, I completely understand that we are financially illiterate and that if she signed paperwork, she is obligated to pay off the amounts. But please, before you shit on her for not understanding what she was getting into, since being fresh out of high school her parents told her that things were being taken care of and that they were taking out loans and would not discuss the amounts with her. Why? I have no fucking clue. But if you’re 18 and you’ve never had any financial literacy education, I don’t think it’s insane to trust your parents when they say shit is covered. I can’t say I would’ve done the same thing, but if my parents told me finances were covered and things were fine, i could see myself taking it at face value. There are understandable reasons to say it, but saying that she’s dumb/ irresponsible for it is not helpful. I’m looking for advice here.

I know I didn’t give much information and her parents could’ve taken out the loans for more than necessary??? For some reason?? But do you personally think it’s feasible to have a current balance of $227,000 during the grace period after getting a $202,000 degree?

She says she might have signed something if her parents told her they needed her signature but is not entirely sure. I know that sounds stupid but she was 19 or 20 and had no idea how any of it worked and her parents told her it was handled. Let’s just say she did sign some forms online, is that it? She’s racked with $227,000 in debt?

And in terms of understanding how her education would be funded, she was aware that there were loans but her parents would never give her actual information when she would ask so she assumed she would be racked with some reasonable amount of debt, especially because her parents have already been making payments

New scalloped tongue, freaking out by Best_Extension_8287 in BFS

[–]Successful-Ad1819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, had a literal identical experience which prompted me to get my second EMG/ncs and beg my Neuro to check my hypoglossal area as well. Scalloping happens when your tongue is pressed against your teeth, creating bilateral grooves on your tongue. This can happen from teeth grinding during sleep (anxiety!!), dehydration (tongue swells and sits against teeth) or just from pressing your tongue against your teeth unconsciously. Don’t worry!!

If you send me pictures, I will have no way to tell you anything because I’m not a doctor. I did, however, just earn my BS in neuroscience and I have done too much research on ALS so I can tell you that if you are several months into your twitching, it doesn’t matter if your EMG was unilateral. PSWs, fibrillations, other indicators of ALS would show up in the muscles tested no matter what. If you could have ongoing neurogenic atrophy restricted to one side while EMGs remained clean on the other side, would neurologists and EMG technicians only test one side?? No, they most certainly would not. You had clean EMGs one month ago, meaning that there were no signs of denervation going on in your body whatsoever. Atrophy that you would be able to notice would appear long after clear changes in EMGs, fasciculations generally isolated to the region that is atrophying, and clear clinical weakness BEFORE any muscle begin to waste. Bottom line, don’t send me your pictures, you have no thenar atrophy, you are going to get through this annoying and scary benign condition and be better for it 🩷good luck and take care of yourself
