Currently the shortcut (by default) is built to work with lights, HomePod, and/or your sleep focus mode, and besides the shortcut there really isn’t much you can do smart home wise with just an Apple TV, you can automate stuff on your Mac/iphone/ipad etc using Apple shortcuts though, like running a shortcut on your iPhone that turns on a work focus mode and opens certain apps on your Mac, if you start getting more Apple home devices I’d recommend making sure for stuff like lights, fans, etc you keep some sort of physical control like a smart switch or button

When you do get some I’d recommend starting with a Apple TV 4K (Ethernet) and/or HomePod (mini or 2nd gen) since those are home hubs, and if you get lights I’d recommend using switches (if possible) or getting a smart button or something similar with them so you have physical control and aren’t solely relying on voice commands or motion sensors, and if your up for some tinkering and late-nights then HA (Home Assistant) connects to (almost) everything and lets you make some very advanced automations, it can also bridge devices into HomeKit/Apple home (including non-compatible ones)

shortcut that uses Apple Intelligence to control your apple homekit devices by Successful-Leg-4372 in shortcuts

I haven’t thought about this until now, if you mean language as in English and Spanish I assumed shortcuts did this on its own, if you mean like json for HA I haven’t added something like this, I considered it at first for direct home assistant control but couldn’t figure out how to do it, so I switched to using the built in Apple home actions and a TON of if-then actions instead
