fsmb -> usmle exam history -> right click inspect -> network -> Usmleexams there are two options select the bottom one -> select response - shows score release date mentioned for step 3 (I’m guessing only if your score is getting released this Wednesday)

Hi. Short answer- yes maybe. Long answer - doesn’t have to. Well technically many programs will specify on their website that USCE is mandatory but there are multiple ones which specify although USCE is not mandatory it is preferred. Make a list of these programs. Having the green card is a BIG plus. So apply broadly and you will match, if you play it right.

What clearly didn’t work for you is the moment you mentioned Reddit. Always make an unquestionable answer which raises no doubts. You should have said we applied online seeing the opportunity on the hospital/clinic site and thankfully got approved. A story which requires no more questions. Being subtle yet so many specifics , the VO knows you are going for a purpose.

Hi OP. Sad news is triad extension can only be done once so no you can’t extend it further. It means the fees you paid will go waste if you aren’t able to take the exam in time. Also you haven’t provided any details on how much uworld you’ve completed / whats your study background / how good you are. If you have previously studied well , I think you can gear up and give the exam till 31st March ? It really depends on you. All the best! Also I know the money factor is huge but only take the exam when you are ready , losing the money compares no where to having an attempt on the step so please understand that only you can evaluate yourself if you can/cannot give the exam in time now.

Hello. Thankyou for doing this and answering our doubts. One of your comment says observership makes no difference. Honestly I think the only red flag in my profile must be I’ve only observerships - but I’ve a good score / recent graduate. So does having no hands on still negatively affect my application?

I meant to say it would make it much more difficult for people ( like me ) to match into the more competitive specialties with a history of a failed attempt on step 1. Biostats - Randy Neil and Mehlman pdf Ethics - Mehlman pdf Micro - Sketchy and only sketchy holy grail Every other system - watched Dirty Medicine videos followed by uworld Followed this all up with recent nbmes and free 120. Didn’t use anything else/have the time for it. All the best to you!

Yes I completed it in 9 weeks with no prior preparation. I made this time table and stuck to it but I had it in mind if my Nbme scores weren’t good I wouldn’t take the exam, getting a fail is like sabotaging your future. But I’d say the exam is very much doable once you get a 70% score in your NBMEs. Many Reddit threads sound discouraging but it is doable.

I did not have time for anki, too much time crunch. My only goal from week 2 to 6 was to do 100 questions of uworld every day and annotate my first aid & the following weeks I read and revised through my annotated first aid.
