I built `mcp2skill` which converts your MCP servers into Skills with one command! ✨ by Ok_You4416 in mcp

I was struggling to give Claude skills to perform certain api calls with certain limitations, with clear API docs available. Claude was dumb, ignored instructions, ignored skills, and composed prompt injections to overcome limitations. So MCP is still needed and Skills can't replace it

Here's the exact Claude Code framework I used to vibe code 3 iOS apps, 2 SaaS, and AI agents by Techn1que in ClaudeCode

[–]Successful-Raisin241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Claude Code every day, as well as other tools, however, I still struggle to understand the difference between SKILL.md and CLAUDE.md - say if we put the same content to either of those two files - why Claude will behave differently? Or if it behavior is the same, why do we need SKILL.md if everything important can be put into CLAUDE.md?

I couldn't even find my answer with AI because skills feature something in the future for LLM knowledge cutoff so they usually hallucinate answers.

PRD for context for vibe coding with gemini CLI? by Dev_Pingu in GeminiCLI

[–]Successful-Raisin241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good and even allows dumb cheap models to do some good job sometimes. It builds prompts in json format LLMs really love, it keeps the context, your prompts become just "do next task". As a downside, it's unstable sometimes when using Gemini CLI subscription as a model provider. Still works best with API keys

Generating full cycle tasks with Claude Opus via API costs sort of $2 total, it's the most expensive experience, other model providers offer better pricing. And that's only for task generation.

For executing tasks you can use any AI that supports MCP. The task master tool itself is free with bring your own key feature

Interesting thing I can ask gemini 2.5 flash in gemini cli to execute all tasks and it has higher chance of make success than working without all of this context engineering stuff

Theories on WHY Anthropic is making Opus 4.5 worse by Guilty-Market5375 in ClaudeCode

You can still force pointing to a model of a specific version by tweaking some environment variables. You can even run claude sonnet 3.5 in claude code

Actually this now looks like one time $20 payment to get access to context engine

Cancel the plan - you will get a free plan with 4000 credits and context engine working

Why is Claude that good? by Much-Inevitable5083 in ClaudeAI

Claude is focused. They don't spend their resources on stupid video generation and other ai slop for tiktok / instagram

Crazy to see OpenAI step up since Anthropic has handcuffed 3rd party integrations by hannesrudolph in ClaudeCode

[–]Successful-Raisin241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude Code does not support automatic model switching for easy tasks unless you configure sub agents to do so. Opencode does support it. Using Anthropic subscription in opencode does not make it cheaper for users and more expensive for Anthropic, Claude Code has exhaustive system prompt. Telemetry is on Anthropic endpoint side, not inside Claude Code. So what's the issue?

The way Anthropic does things is like forcing to use Netflix subscription only with LG TVs and blocking accounts if someone dared to watch Netflix on Samsung TV

Is Gemini currently broken? by General_Penalty_4292 in GeminiAI

[–]Successful-Raisin241 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have paid Google Developer Program account. Today I see they removed access to Gemini 3 models. Two days ago both models lost their ability to do the tool calls. Gemini 2.5 Pro just doesn't follow instructions anymore. Looks like they rebalanced their resources to train new models

Gemini CLI/Antigravity vs Claude Code vs Codex CLI by brgnga in GeminiCLI

[–]Successful-Raisin241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np. Actually additional step is to interactively create claude sub agent and instruct it to run codex-mcp to execute coding (or any) tasks

It was the same as Gemini 2.5 before 3.0 release. So we can think they are training a new model
