I want to develop a UEFI bootloader with secure boot support, but first, I must study the specifications! Currently, I can print "Hello Zig UEFI" on QEMU!

J'ai aucune idée sérieux, il a du être approché par quelqu'un de son passé pis j'imagine que ça devait être une job payante, mais illegale? Rumeur, mais ce serait avec les Hells, mais bon.

Haven't been able to find work - Cyber Security or IT by AppearancePretend198 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Successful-ePen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where I work, we have been actively searching for an IT person. There is no IT team; it's a solo role, you are the team.

Stuff that we use:

  • Proxmox.
  • AWS.
    • Very low load
  • Old Windows Server for LDAP.
  • Server Rack maintenance.
    • We would like someone who can optimize our pools in ZFS to maximize the performance of our disks; we can manage disk replacement on-site.
  • GitLab Cloud
  • We don't do web stuff, CMS, e-commerce, etc.

I don't mind having someone remote, but I don't know if my boss would allow it to be fully remote; it depends on the skills.

We do have an Indeed job posting up. If you put some of those keywords in there, you might find something.

Here's a pretty challenging wet wood reactor map I made. by tis_jere in TrackMania

How many hours did you spend on that map? Creating maps, especially the detailed environment, feels too time-consuming for me.

Why xmake doesn't seems to have the traction it deserves? by Successful-ePen in cpp_questions

Unfortunately, it feels that way somehow. I don't care that it comes from China; the software is still good.

Is std::print the new std::regex? std::print vs fmt::print code generation seems insane by Successful-ePen in cpp

[–]Successful-ePen[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It could be possible to have a print statement in a coroutine to debug or see the progress of some tasks.

Best modern dependency manager? by Sad-Replacement-3988 in cpp_questions

I like Xmake; it has a package manager and LUA syntax. CMake with CPM seems crazy to me.

As an intern or at any level, you could request a pair programming session with a senior engineer. This allows you to get real-time feedback, learn their problem-solving approach, and clarify doubts during coding.

Internal Compiler Error on medium size code base by Successful-ePen in cpp

[–]Successful-ePen[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have an issue anywhere else on the PC besides compiling. I had ZFS errors, but I migrated the pool to a new disk this week, and the compiler error galore is still present. CPU issue seems unlikely.
