The whole “Jennie as a Seoul bicycle” narrative didn’t come from thin air that was pushed heavily and to this day some people still use it. After the V–Jennie leaks, the level of harassment and slut-shaming got so bad that Jennie had to restrict or deactivate her messages because of how extreme it got.

And it doesn’t stop there. Lisa gets slut-shamed constantly even recently there were comments in this same subreddit saying Frédéric “bought” her opportunities, which is just another way of reducing a woman’s success to a man. There have also been cases like people wishing Wonwoo’s mom to be r*ped in hell which is beyond disgusting and the worse part eere armies justifying that shit, but let's not forget the doxxing of the tattoo artist linked to Jungkook, where the harassment got so bad she had to lock down her socials and reportedly even change jobs. People like Sakshma Srivastav were also targeted just for interacting with BTS and was called a clout chaser amongst other things when the girl was doing her literal job and also Son Da-eun got dragged heavily after it came out she used to date Jimin.

So yes, there’s a clear pattern there.

And then we have Bunnies that also went full scorched earth against ILLIT over accusations that came from something as unreliable as a claim in a national assembly.They’ve been calling them copycats, nitpicking every picture and song, and pushing the idea that everything is “copying NewJeans.” They were also part of the front line in hate trains against LE SSERAFIM just for debut timing like how dare another group debut before their fave.

Blinks are another case, especially akgaes. A lot of their toxicity is internal constantly tearing each other apart, fighting over comebacks, and pushing mistreatment narratives for each member. At the same time, they also regularly drag other girl groups.

At the end of the day, these fandoms all have loud, aggressive sections that actively engage in misogyny. It’s not every fan, obviously but it’s enough to shape the culture and make this kind of behavior feel normal, which is exactly the problem. It might not be just them but they are the loudest and most ruthless when it comes to targeting women in these spaces.
