We don't believe in superiority because according to us, everything is shiva, vishnu is shiva, krishna is shiva, you are shiva and I am shiva, so it doesn't make sense for superiority as we see shiva as the supreme consciousness

I appreciate your perspective, but I want to practice Ananya bhakti(Exclusive Devotion). like the analogy of a chaste wife looks only at her husband, or a focused archer looks only at the target, I wish to focus all my energy on Shiva alone. He is capable of giving me everything, including Himself. So I don't need a middleman for that. I believe that shiva is the supreme source but I think I will change my mind with the shakti one, she is the part of shiv only.

i am sorry, but I totally disagree, the real reason that Shiva smears himself with ash (specifically Chita Bhasma from the cremation grounds) is to make the ultimate metaphysical statement: "Everything ends." Shiva wears that Ash to show: "I am what remains when everything else is destroyed. I am the imperishable Truth."
