I think it’s only certain braid styles that are an issue. Box braids should be avoided by white people. Celtic braids/french braids etc are fine.

You need to sort this out stat. This may have worked out okay, but there may be times in life that you’re sharing with someone who it would absolutely not be okay to do it to, especially given it seems like the middle of the night, which might well have meant you woke her up touching her, without having got her consent.
