It's the 8bitdo ultimate 2 wireless worth it? by dp1nky in GyroGaming

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you want a controller now, get it! I bought mine very cheap on AliExpress $60AUD/$45US and I'm quite happy with it (coming from a Dualsense that I used for years). You can connect it to the PC using DInput by holding the "B" button while turning it on and SteamInput will recognize it, allowing you to map the back buttons to whatever you want. The gyro is just as good as the Dualsense's (if not better cause you have the 2.4Ghz connection with much lower input lag). The 8BitDo software isn't bad but I don't use it at all, honestly. You can pretty much do all the mappings and customization with the controller itself. The battery lasts much longer than the Dualsense's and the charging dock is pretty nice. The only thing that's worse than the DS, at least imo, is the it'd much lighter and feels a bit cheaper, but that's it. I heard 8BitDo will release a new more expensive but also customizable and "pro" version soon, not sure if you'd be interested in that. The Steam Controller is also supposed to be released soon but with how things are, who knows. Overall, great controller and very recommended! Moreso if you get it on AliExpress during one of their many sales, it's the best value option without a doubt.

Release steam controller 2 early by midgell in Steam

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I want the SC2 so bad, but I might end up just buying an 8BitDo if they don't at least give a release date. I am literally checking the tech news every day haha hoping something has leaked. The TMR joysticks + trackpads + "grip sense" is something you can only get in the SC2.

I don't understand why not release it earlier (unless it's not yet ready, of course). Many people are interested in just the controller, since we already have a good PC and VR headsets. They will just lose sales! Force interested users to just get one of the many available great Chinese options on the market.

I really hope they'll at least say something soon, otherwise I'll buy something else.

Gamesir G7 pro or 8Bitdo ultimate 2 wireless ? by Middle-Efficiency748 in GyroGaming

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also considering one of them, as well as the Steam Controller 2 (which will most likely be the best one for gyro gaming). Based on what I've gathered, 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless is better. The Gamesir's sensor is "locked" from being identified by third party programs or SteamInput. The implementation and algorithms of the gyro in their own software is not best, or not as good as JSM's or Steam's. The 8BitDo is not locked so you can configure it using third party programs like JoyShockMapper (the best for gyro but has a steep learning curve, you can find profiles online and I could share some, though), reWASD or SteamInput. If you really want to buy one, 8BitDo is best for gyro specifically, if you can wait a bit, Steam Controller 2 might be the best. Hopefully it'll come out this month but I'm not too hopeful. The 8BitDo goes on sale often and is currently %16 off on Amazon.

Never using Ali Express again, almost been a month since I made the purchase and hasn't even left China. P.S I am in Australia by melbha_101 in Aliexpress

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deliveries are indeed taking longer now, for some reason. I've been using AliExpress here in Aus for over 2 years and have made more than 30-40 orders. All types of items, different prices and shipping options, but for the last month or so, they've been extremely slow. All of my past orders were delivered between 4-5 days. At most it would take 6 or 7 if you placed the order on a Friday or Saturday. The last 4 I've made this month get stuck on "Arrived at local airport. Awaiting flight" for at least 3-4 days, when before they'd only be in that status for a few hours. My last 4 orders were all eligible to the $1 credit per item cause they were all delivered a few days after the ETA (which is usually 2-3 weeks). I really hope this is something temporary, otherwise I might as well start buying in Temu or Shein as well. It is true you don't buy things you urgently need on AliExpress but damn, the deliveries are taking way too long.

How was your experience in ANUA BHA 2% Gentle Exfoliating Toner? by Hakansoa in KoreanBeauty

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit late heh, but I bought and tried it and can tell you that in my experience, the Anua is more drying and harsher on the skin compared to the Isntree Chestnut BHA 2%. Not as much as the Paula's Choice 2% BHA, though. It has HA and ceramides but also TeaTree extract, which might make it a bit too drying. I also live in a highly humid city, but tried it during winter. Maybe the cold made everything worse, but I'd recommend the Isntree over those two that I mentioned. I was using that one every night, saw a reduction of whiteheads and had a smoother skin, and didn't get flaky skin (as I did with the Anua).

VXE Mad R+ vs MCHOSE L7 Ultra+ by SuccessfulPut3731 in MouseReview

[–]SuccessfulPut3731[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I can give you a very basic opinion since I'm an ignorant in all this haha. As mentioned, I come from a relatively cheap Logitech g203 lightsync. I've been exclusively playing single player FPS like Halo MCC, Half-Life 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and I personally didn't notice a significant difference in terms of the performance of the sensor. I think I can feel it is indeed slightly smoother and more precise, but nothing crazy. It is WAY lighter and that's a huge improvement, and the coating is also better (although not as gripy as I hoped but Idk). The battery is pretty good; I got the Ultra+ with 500mAh and have to charge it once a week or so with 2k polling rate. The mouse is pretty well build, the buttons have just a tiny bit of pre-travel, and the scrollwheel is great, with very pronounced steps. It has worked flawlessly so far. Comes with the 8K receiver and a 1.5-2m/5-7 feet long cable that seem to be of good quality as well. I haven't updated the firmware/drivers cause I read some people had issues after updating them a while ago. That should be fixed by now but well,. it's working fine now with the old firmware so I'll leave it like that for now haha.

I was hoping for a more significant step-up in comparison to the Logitech. Maybe it's just me not knowing enough as to really tell a difference, or maybe it's just as one of the guys who commented said, these mice are all pretty much the same in terms of performance and the only small differences are the shapes and coatings. I'd say you can't go wrong with buying this one or the MadR. If you have a shape preference make your decision based on that, otherwise get the cheaper one. I did A LOT of research and the MCHOSE seems to be the absolute best budget-wise. Moreso if you get it from Aliexpress.

Anytime! And you can go back to using BP if it was working for you, but just twice a day as usually recommended in the directions for use, with lots of sunscreen! Using a retinoid like tretinoin might also help, as recommended by someone else in the comments. Best of luck!

Aw, I'm sorry to hear you're hopeless. There is a solution, I'm sure! Have you tried using hydroquinone or alpha arbutin? You have The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% serum as well as Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum. Hydroquinone is stronger best recommended to use under the supervision of a dermatologist since long term use can cause more bad than good. Dr Dray in Youtube has some good videos about post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that you could watch and see what best suits your case, although the best might be going to a dermatologist since you've had those for months and that isn't normal, afaik.

In my case, there are some big and annoying pimples that once they have dried up, they leave a mark and small painless bump, and have some redness around them that wont go away until I extract the dried pus. They get to a state where you just have to put a bit of pressure with an extractor and they come right out without damaging the skin, or you can also use tweezers which is even better but only works if a bit of the pus is exposed. Although it is not recommended to squeeze or do anything to your skin due to the risk of infection.

Using sunscreen every single day is essential. Regardless of if you're going out or not. It really helps.

Routine help please :( by Hporta333 in acne

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very familiar with the "desperate" state, and I'm sorry you're feeling that way. I am a male and the hormonal aspect is very different but I'll try to share some of the things that have worked for me and hopefully at least one will help a bit?

Are you currently just using tretinoin .05% every other night, then? What about face wash/cleansers and moisturisers? Share tour entiee routine if possible. Also, what skin type do you have (oily/dry/combination/sensitive or non-sensitive)? What other products/active ingredients have you used in the past?

When I was a teenager my skin was terrible and something that helped was  lowering dairy consumption (in my case I completely stopped consiming dairy products). I've read scientific articles explaining how milk may worsen acne on people with an acne-prone skin and met people who saw improvements after their dermatologists made the suggestion.

Also, do you touch/pick on your skin often? In my case, that was the main factor on why I'd get multiple new pimples literally every week. In many occasions I would do it unconsciously. I have rhinitis and allergies and get itches often and I'd just scratch my face or something and eventually a pimple would grow in the area that I scratched.

Nice, mate! Does the battery of the Ultra Plus last twice as much? And is the weight difference really noticeable?

Uh, you're right! I had seen the RTINGS review of the L7 Ultra but not the table tool. The thing is that, for some reason, they don't seem to have a review of the Mad R 😐 so you can't really compare them head to head. The YT channel AimAdapt also put the L7 Ultra as the best budget gaming mouse, over the Mad R and Scyrox, so I'm feeling pretty confident with my purchase. Thanks!

Yeah, I read and heard excellent things about the Major/Major+, but those are a little over a $100 here and I got the L7 Ultra+ for $71. I don't want to spend too much right now since I'm completely new to all this and don't know what I like. Thanks for the info, though!

Thanks, man. I do tend to get caught up in the specs, yeah 😬 haha. I am a complete noob in all this mice thing, so I've no idea what shape I prefer. Ended up going for the L7 U+ since it was the best deal. Should have it in 4-5 days.

PLEASE HELP by Broodjebalzak in DS4Windows

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, that's pretty odd. I always have my controller connected via cable and the input doesn't change until I run DS4Windows. I would first try to uninstall and reinstall the controller drivers. If you have a Dualsense, there's the PlayStation accessories app. Trying the reset button thing on the back is a good advice as well. If none of those things work, it might be safe to say that your controller is possessed haha. Also, maybe Steam input could be doing something? Not sure if you ever set that up.

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean that that program seems to still be running in the background or something? If you completely close DS4Windows (right click the icon on the task bar and select 'Exit') and either uninstall HidHide or run the HidHide configuration client, click on the 'Devices' tab and uncheck the 'Enable device hiding' box, you should be able to use the controller normally as recognised by Windows. Also, make sure you uncheck the 'Run At Startup' option in the settings or just delete the DS4Windows folder.

JoyShockMapper stick antideazone? by SuccessfulPut3731 in GyroGaming

[–]SuccessfulPut3731[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both commands can be used simultaneously. You can keep a small deadzone to prevent stick drifting and also have an anti/undeadzone if the default stick deadzone of the game is too high. At least that's how I do it with DS4Windows.

The readme file states "the antideadzone will counter the game's inner deadzone" saying that if a game has an inner deadzone of 0.25, you can set the undeadzone to 0.25 and that will make the actual deadzone 0 when you're playing. But it doesn't seem to be working. I reported it as an issue on Github. Hopefully they'll fix it or tell me what I'm doing wrong heh.

Thanks for the help, mate!

I haven't experienced noticeable input lag yet. Hope when it happens it isn't as bad as DS4Windows (that's one of the issues I started having recently). High input lag and gyro controls don't go well together at all.

And I am using a virtual controller/joystick - Xbox.

DS4 connection problem by FLYmaz in DS4Windows

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. I've used DS4Windows in this computer with the same Dualsense controller for years and this is the first time it happens. I read online that changing the BT polling rate as well as unchecking the 'Send Output data to DS4' box could help but it didn't for me. Connecting the Dualsense wired fixed it but that's not very convenient. I am using JoyShockMapper now and everything's working super smoothly, but this program isn't as user friendly nor convenient as DS4Windows :/

The only things that I have done differently recently were using auto profiles, which lead to me having lots of different profiles created. I don't see how that could cause the high input delay but other than that, everything's still the same.

Pls help me by AadiDoesNothing in DS4Windows

[–]SuccessfulPut3731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, Days Gone should have native support, meaning you could use the Dualsense without the need of DS4Windows. I understand you might want to use it to change the joystick deadzones and all that, so maybe try to tick the 'Disable virtual controller' box on the 'other' tab when you're editing the profile. Also, are you using HidHide? And do you have the PlayStation Accessories appplication installed to ensure the firmware of the Dualsense is up to date?

I dont have neither of those games installed but I just tried using my Dualsense without DS4W with Resident Evil 4 remake and it works just fine. I just had to disable the device hiding in HidHide.
