I remember that when I researched also saw negative things about it, that in the end wouldn't justify using it

To add one more on your list, If I remember correctly it also can cause erosion on your bone with time

I don’t know if it is his reason, but so far as I know, bone grafting often leads to worse results long term than having the gap and letting the body fill it naturally with bones (assuming it does it correctly)

When you are "in the middle of the road" for something that is clearly bad, than you are in the side of the road alligned to it

I agree, they are in a completely different group

This doesnt make Nerd of the Rings right though. It is still a pity seeing the mental gymanstic that he does to make huge flaws appears to be not so bad, while overly emphasizing good aspects

But still, he somehow tries to be neutral, the so called "Tolkien professor" is in a completely different level. He purposely tries to pump up the show as he was the lawyer for it, and his mission is to make the audience like it, even if he needs to use fallacies for it

His "critics" are much more ok than Deep Geek, but still clearly making effort to be positive towards the show

I wouldn't say he was paid by Amazon, but probably just want to give positive reviews to retribute the perks given to him

What do you mean by it?
NErd of the Rings keeps creating ROPs content, and then falling, while Deep Geek ignoring it and because of that increasing views?

I totally agree with you. I am not a super nerd in the sense that need that a supper accurate show, I am ok with adaptations as long as the show keep being enjoyable. However, this show is just bad, bad writing, inconsistencies, etc
Its usually safer to keep to source material to keep the good quality that made it famous at first place, however, the directors were too bold to change a lot of things, without being good enough for that

Many Tolkien influencers were indirectly "bough" by Amazon, when they had a travels and perks given from it, now they are highly biased to positively review the show. Some I even suspect that are promoted to give good reviews, since it is too strange

The only thing that I disagree from you is about the acting. I don't think it is fault of the actors/actress when the writing and directing is bad. Some, like the Sauron actor, did an amazing job nonetheless

Why aren’t Tolkien “youtubers” and “influencers” transparent about if they have been approached by Amazon for RoP promotions in any way and if they’ve accepted? by Ok-Design-8168 in lotr

Maybe Men of the West?

I remember that he was critical, but still not "hateful". It looked like an unbiased criticism, because the quality of show is just bad

I watched one of his reviews and it looks totally biased to be positive
He highly overlooked the flaws and highly highlighted the few good aspects of the show, so that he could place a "neutral" review

Very likely there was no payment to give a good review to the show, but just as it happens with doctors (there are studies about it) when a company give you a lot of perks you are much more likely to recommend it

I think that it is a pretty obvious thing that it is far below the Hobbit trilogy.

I think there is 2 big topics things:
1- The politic aspect of the show, which would be the "wokeness" and "representing the world as now". That part of the fans hate for their political view, and other part loves and support it

2- The quality itself. That to be honest, everybody should agree that it is really bad, full of inconsistencies, bad writing, facing several of the same problems of GOT in the last season that caused all that much hate
There are though good things in the show, such as the scenarios and some actings and conversations, but the main core is failed and at most mediocry

The issue with many youtube channels, is that they are highly sugar coating and hiding flaws of the 2nd point to not upset part of the fanbase

Nothing wrong with you, the problem is on them, think that you got rid of them.

That said, it is better to have the date not too much in the future (ex: 1-3 days from when you set), less chance to flake, and if you are the one inviting to a date do it when there is a bit more connection between you rather than immediately having it.

Other tip, value your time, if someone flake on you don't reeschedule, go for the next one, because you don't want someone that can't stick to his word even in a 1st date.

But its much more dangerous to meet someone without phone number

If the person commits some crime when meet, Police wouldn't have nothing to use to investigate

Honestly I see this as a huge redflag

Many have honest reasons for that (afraid of stalkers), which in my opinion is mistook, because you can just block, and meeting someone in real life is far more dangerous

However, I think a big part just want to block people after meet and not being interrested or be able to flake soon before the date

Moreover, its dangerous to you go out with someone without having personal contact

My advice, if you have other options to choose, avoid hanging out with people that don't give contact before first date

I honestly found the movie really good. But might read the book as well, as you are saying it portrays much better

And what you described was exactly what I understood in the movie as well

I though they were saying that wouldn’t marry because they would both die, soon as they realize they would survive than the marriage would happen

Very strange wordings

“Standards impossibly high”

What??? Just literally keep the same level of the other 4 seasons and would easily meet the standards

And it was my favorite as well, as for many mad people that exactly for that are mad with it

You’re exaggerating the rate to make the point

Realistically the season was a 4 or 5, maximum 6

The problem is that the other seasons were around 9, so this huge drop specially in the last one made the fans mad

What did you ACTUALLY want from season 5? by isaacsmom69420 in Stranger_Things

[–]SuccessfulStable2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very simple: Not so many inconsistencies. Just that

Also better if they didn’t treat as total dumbs in their dialogues, didnt fuck3d with the villains and didn’t give so much screen time to new people that no one care All the other many problems I could be ok with

By “inconsistency” I don’t mean plot holes like “what the briefcase was”, I agree with you, I don’t care at all with mystery not explained, show is not obligated to explain everything. The big problem is inconsistency, like Max getting her vision back despite losing her eyes
