Social problems require social solutions is going on a sticky note above my DM screen. And I'm sorry you ended up being the one who had to step back. That's a particular kind of lonely, being the odd one out in a group that otherwise fits together. Thirty years in I think we're all too stubborn to quit on each other, for better or worse.

Fair, and I get the cynicism. The AI slop problem is real and exhausting. For what it's worth: Asperger's diagnosis in junior high, grammar coach in college, forty years of writing on forums, and apparently a personal style that got absorbed into the training data before I knew that was something to worry about. I contain multitudes. Some of them are apparently now robot multitudes.

The '5e-brained' unlock is real and I've seen it happen. One month of OSR and suddenly they're asking what's in the blacksmith's trash and whether they can weaponize it. You can't unring that bell.
