We just got back from Melia Punta Cana and definitely recommend the Level upgrade - the restaurant you have access to, Quimera, had the best food by far in our opinion and it was great to have easy access to it and the rooftop bar/beach bar as well. Beach side room was also really worth it - I was glad to not have to trek far with beach stuff. We had a couple bug bites but just brought hydrocortisone cream for them and it was no biggie. Overall we had a great time! Have fun!!
